that’s not true, capA is a pretty stable character and can cause a lot of confusion with proper use of cartwheel, most of his combos are quite damaging, he can easily combo his stars and stripers super, and his j.hp has great priority.

yup messiah has it right. cartwheel is to not be abused though.
s.mk, s.hp, jump back up+hk (very deceiving) , c.mk, s.hk. all good pokes. he has much more but i dont use them much. j.lk is good to hit above.
its simple to play cap. get 2 bars. s.lk s.mkxxdouble super. with gambit it does around 90% damage, with jin it does about the same, with morrigan it does a lil more. works good with anyone though really. u can run the whole game after that, turtle and duo chips.
Cartwheel is a cute trick when applied correctly but that’s pretty much it. While I disagree with a lot of this thread, MagnetoManiac has it right re: CapAm play style. His big trick is c.short->c.forward XX team super for ~70% (depending on teammate). 90% is a bit of an overestimation IIRC but still big damage regardless. I think his best game plan is based around a passive-moving-towards-hardcore turtle style. This is where a helper like Lou is good. Basically, you should only play this character if you’re able to block well and control your opponent options and spacing. He has decent normals to keep you out but can’t really force openings. Not the worst character, but IMO dies hard to the top tier if the opponent is somewhat competent.

why would there be any reason to use them? theres colossus.
colossus is a free 50%. better used to zone/bait with. if lou’s lil darts combod (not crossing up) then maybe. if psylocke actually hit 5 times and didnt miss then maybe. colossus’ angle is just too insane. knocks out anything on the way down.
once learned how to use right, hes the best helper no doubt.
as for captain america. everyone fears the ground throw/jump throw game. and if ur not aware of it, well learn it. works with any character too. it relies on guessing, and AGAIN, colossus can save you big time on that one. so if they’re not fearing the throw game enough for you to hit them, make them fear that throw game.

The thought of Colossus being hands down the best helper in the game has been disproven in fucking 1999, if not earlier. How long have you played this game? There is no best helper - it’s all situational and based on who you play as. Colossus does not work the same for everyone and every game plan - it’s foolish to think this way. I gave you a situation where I know damn well Lou is useful and you come back with this crap. Who the hell even mentioned Psylocke? I’m not even going on with this discussion anymore. It’s a little disturbing to be quite honest. Tons of helpers beat Colossus at any angle. Lou owns him for free. The fact you don’t even recognize Lou as one of the top helpers is also mindboggling and my only theory is that you’ve playing the exact same 2 kinds of Kaillera Lagfest players without even being exposed to many playstyles at all.
