Squirrel Girl is a mutant - they don’t have the rights to her unless they make her an Inhuman or do a Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver job.
Which they could easily do, I highly doubt Fox has any plans to use Squirrel Girl aaaaaaany time soon, so I doubt they would contest whatever Marvel did.
if you cant tell…all mutants will either be erased or rebooted as inhumans.
I can just forsee in the back of my mind that Fox wants to keep Squirrel Girl just to piss Marvel off.
Let them. That’ll only make it so that when Fox eventually comes crawling to Marvel for a deal, Marvel will just play massive hardball.

I still maintain there will be one. Ruffalo was signed on for a set number of movies (6, including the first Avengers), so that would be Avengers 2, Infinity War Part 1&2, and that leaves two more movies (one, if you actually think his cameo in IM3 counts as one), ie- Planet Hulk and WWH.
I feel as though they didn’t announce it, because it would give away too much plot.
Being a mutant doesn’t automatically make her an X-Men character. She’ll fall under the Avengers umbrella given she’s associated with that brand.

I don’t know who Squirrel Girl is, but I read here on SRK that she bodied Thanos and it was mad free.
I approve of a Squirrel Girl movie. Even moreso if she saves the day in every Avengers movie.
