The thing is there nothing in the New Mutants that makes it horror from the source material.
You have something with the X-men, but that ship as long since set sail.
Than and Apocalypse is a horror in it’s own self.

The movie is suppose to be a loose adaption of the dream bear saga. From what I read about the Dream Bear I can see why the film makers went into a horror direction.
New Mutants is definitely an interesting idea.
It’s only, the reshoots to make it “scarier” never happened, the movie’s delayed 1 and 1/2 years from his original release date, and I doubt the reshoots will ever happen. Maybe for the better (a “patched” movie could become a Frankenstein monster), maybe for the worst (maybe the original cut was simply bland).
Yesterday in the CinemaCon, Disney producers emphasized that Dark Phoenix is the final movie of the original Bryan Singer’s X-Men saga that began in 2000.
Where does that leave New Mutants, then? A standalone movie? I don’t know but… As a very small-scale isolated movie, is there a way they could retro-actively tie-in with the MCU? it could be cooler seeing them interact with guys like Cloak and Dagger and The Runaways? Just wondering…
You ever read the comics?
I can see Disney throwing it into the streaming service if it’s not rated R.
I think only Disney productions will be in the streaming service, no one’s said the X-Men movies will be on it, that will probably go to Hulu.
Unlikely.
Disney dont like Hulu much, and the Mouse gets what the mouse wants
They have a 60% share of Hulu. The stuff you pull out your ass.
Yeah. One of the first things Disney said is they plan on utilizing Hulu a lot and are going to work with the other share holders to make it an international streaming service.
Then why do they make their own service on top of that?
WTF Disney
Branding.
That fucking dumb, I went to online streaming to get away from that BS cable TV has. If you want a channel you gotta pay extra. And you can’t just add one additional premium channel, you got to do some ass backwards package deals.
Just corporate greed all around
For literally any company owns more than one company. $$$$
They created Disney+ before knowing whether they would own Hulu or not.
Disney+: All-ages “Family” content.
Hulu: All kinds of stuff, for kids, adults-only and that. Also, they have content from other studios other than Disney.
And they still got alot of stuff on Netflix too
They will remove all their content from Netflix.
The same reason they owned Miramax and Touchstone.
I doubt it, Netflix is still getting new content form Disney.
Disney’s deal with netflix ends at the end of the year.
They will eventually cut the faucet on that. They don’t want to help the competition.
