There is nothing wrong with writing a story inspired by political topics. This on the other hand is different. āWrinkle in time only got bad scores because white menā¦ā is not the same as the X-men being inspired from the whole black civil rights back then. All her rants was not only unnecessary but completely bullshit and just shades of modern day liberalism who are actually causing racism and sexism.
Alita and Wonder Woman are good examples of empowerment and neither the character or the actresses went on stage to shove protest like bullshit.

Just saw the movie. I liked pretty much. There are more than a few logical consistency problems and a bunch of weird decisions that affect the whole MCU, but still fun and entertaining 
I liked this version of Carol Danvers, though sheās missing a lot of presence and authority she has in the comics (albeit there are many people who donāt like that). It was still a superficial exploration, I need MOAAAR, seeing her interact with the other heroes and such.
It was a good time

Something that didnāt sit right with me in this movie.
I donāt like that the skrulls got turned into war refugees. Their race are serious power players and can give the Kree a run for their money. How they fuck up a race of alien infiltrators to this degree? The kid better be Super Skrull and learn to fuck shit up when he gets grown
