Exactly.

Onslaught’s a terrible character. He should never be used in the movies.

I agree Onslaught is bad but the unfilmable version that inhabits the comics would no doubt be reworked. But I would see them use any number of X-Men villains before having to fuck with Onslaught.

I’d say that depends on the writers. Comic Thanos motivations were dumb AF but movie Thanos was on point

What do you mean?

Comic Thanos’ motivation that started the Infinity Gauntlet bullshit was strictly because he wanted to impress Death. That’s it. She wasn’t paying enough attention to him, so he decided to wipe out half of all life to get her attention and ultimately it only served to annoy her even further.

Yeah, Comic Thanos’ motivation was “pussy on the pedestal”. Turrible.

Comics Thanos is always pussywhipped for Death. Best example was in the end of DnA’s run where she uses him to bring the concept of Death back into the Cancerverse, and then just leaves him there unable to die.

Thanos is jealous of Deadpool because of all the smiting he and Death do.

Idk I don’t like the fact that movie Thanos is almost a “good guy”. What he does is really not the worse.any other random villain could do if they had the IG

It’s not what he did, it’s why he did it. Thanos watched Simon Sinek’s TED Talk and got purpose.

Are you saying Thanos got woke and the universe went broke?

By his measure, the universe got richer . . . . . .

Thanos’ motivation in the Infinity Gauntlet was to become Death’s equal so she could love him. He miscalculated and became Death’s superior by becoming the Supreme being of the universe. He didn’t decide to wipe half the universe, that’s the order Death has given Thanos since she felt the balance between life and death was tilting to the side of life. Of course he was gonna do that, but took the opportunity for some duplicitous actions as well.
I haven’t watched the Avengers movies yet, but if Thanos’ motivations are something radically different than that then that kinda sucks. Preforming his herculean tasks, descending into madness is all because mistress Death is his “muse”, so to speak.

Except honestly everything interesting about Thanos the character in the comics is when he’s not involved with Death at all.

But honestly, Thanos is still the same just with entirely different motivations and I think ultimately better made motivations. He’s not any more of a “good guy” despite them, but it makes it a lot more understandable to see where his respect for others can come from and how people can actually converse and reason with him.

Onslaught could work better if he was more like Red Onsalught (Red Skull + Onslaught powers) rather than the Magneto+Xavier+Franklin Richards aberration mix.

I guess an Onslaught could work as a substitute for Apocalypse, because I don’t think Feige wants to repeat what’s already been done by Fox.
Still a poor and boring AF character, pretty sure Feige would pick more interesting and believable characters than the Onslaught monstruosity. Even Stryfe would be more interesting than Onslaught.

I just want Feige to avoid time travel all together. Same with making there be multiple marvel universes. That’s my one request. I’ve always hated that shit in comics. Always

I think they will actually use both of those things. With Kang The Conqueror being one of the coolest villains, a time travel story will be guaranteed.

But I hope that doesn’t extend to the X-Men sagas; too many time travel sagas has really made their timeline convoluted, repetitive and alienating in the comics.

Aside from using it as a device for Reynold’s Deadpool to go into the MCU for a crossover, I hope (and I think) multi-verse won’t be overused. You could use that as a pretext to create MCU-unrelated TV shows, however (like Gifted, which I hope won’t be cancelled).

Kang’s Whole history including his back story are so convoluted and beyond fucking stupid because of all the time travel and dimensial hopping his dumb ass does. I don’t want to see that in MCU
