I didn’t know Mrs. Lee voiced Madame Web…
Sad to hear of her passing.
Just got back from Homecoming. A solid 9/10 at the least. I should have seen that twist coming, but it still caught me off guard.
Sorry to hear about Lee’s wife though. It’s so sad when you lose someone you’ve been with for that long. Like, shit. That’s almost 70 years right there. R.I.P.
I want to Rek this so bad, I hate this news.

What a great movie. Loved it from start to finish. The Cap “cameos” were great too:
[details=Spoiler]Kudos to them having a villain worth the time. Michael Keaton was great as Vulture.
Loved the scene when Pete had to lift the debris from off him. I know its a recreation of a scene from the comics but it was executed well.
Great that Pepper is back…, but this means she’s in time to see Thanos wreck shop.

As a spidey stan homecoming was just that!!!
9.5/10 I still have slight issues with lack of spidey sense but thats just me being a nerd. This kid does his thing and i like how they do his pov. Id say do whatever you need to do to see this movie. Super fun thrill ride, and all these little easter eggs are fantastic.
?uestion tho because after the Andrew Garfield stuff i fell outta the loop:

So with spidey he’s working overtime with Avengers and Sinister Six? i know they wanted to do that w/amazing spiderman but was there any solid info??

[details=Spoiler]The Sinister Six stuff was dropped but this movie set the foundation for it. Vulture is alive and well, Scorpion and Shocker are both there and they could easily fill in everyone else.
As for the spidey sense, he does have it, it’s just not exaggerated. I like the more subtle use of it.[/details]
Seeing this movie makes me glad Marvel has the reins for Spider-Man. But I’m nervous. Every time Amy Pascal drops “hints” that the Sony-verse and the MCU might interact, Feige has to do this:
Even if it’s in private. He can only go for so long until his hand isn’t that strong.
Yeah I’m worried that now instead of seeing how good MARVEL treats Spiderman, Sony will just be like oh, now people like Spiderman again! I guess we’ll just hang on to the rights forever!

Just watched Spider-Man: Homecoming.
10/10 and well earned. Brilliant script. Not on my Top 10 or even Top 20 as it doesn’t bring anything new to the genre, but it’s really worth it.
My only gripe is a 3-seconds scene but when you watch it you’ll know.
Which 3 seconds? I’ve seen it and I’m not sure what you mean.
Homecoming was pretty cool. Def a 8/10 movie. I really like:

How Red-Pilled Vulture was
[details=Spoiler]10/10 Hot Fiyah; not the best MCU movie at all but a solid movie nonetheless and finally a Spider-Man movie done right after 15 freakin’ years. (Spider-Man 2 gets a pass.) I was geeking out over Aunt May’s license plate, “AMF-1562”. Plus Vulture was completely threatening which I give hats off to because I grew up seeing Vulture on the 90’s FOX cartoon and he was a jobber but this time he would have skewered poor pajama petey. Bravo.
Mad respect for the real Queens shots in the flick seeing as I live 3 blocks away from “Aunt May’s apartment” and it was super-cool watching them film during production. My daughter was like flipping out because most of the shots are in our 'hood. I think she thinks Spider-Man lives here.
Also, Iron Spider?![/details]
I’m going to have to avoid this thread until I get around seeing Homecoming, though at this point I doubt it will be any time soon unfortunately.

Some sad news.
Joan Lee, wife of Stan Lee, passes away at 93.
Joan Lee reportedly suffered a stroke earlier in the week. She and Stan were married on December 5, 1947 and remained so until her passing on Thursday. Stan has credited his wife with helping him create The Fantastic Four, telling him to create something he was proud of before he quit his job in the comics industry. Joan Lee recently appeared in a cameo in X-Men: Apocalypse with her husband. She was the voice of Madame Web in the animated Spider-Man TV series that ran from 1996-1998. She was the voice of Miss Forbes and Old Woman in The Fantastic Four animated series in 1994 and appeared as herself in the recent documentary With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story and Stan Lee’s Mutants, Monsters & Marvels.
Joan Lee was also a writer, publishing the 1987 book “The Pleasure Palace” about a man trying to build a fantastic ocean liner and romancing women.
So Mrs. Lee was the voice for Madame Web back in the 1990s? Huh. I always did like Madame Web’s voice in that cartoon despite the show’s other issues; her voice was rather kindly.
Regardless, that’s rather unfortunate and it makes me worry even more about Stan Lee’s health and age. May she rest in peace.
Stan Lee dropping knowledge about how he met his late wife Joan.
Best. Spider-man. Movie. By. Far.
Homecoming is a real treat. Love the quick nod to Ferris Bueller’s day off in the one scene (which incidentally, had the clip they took it from on a TV screen) and the performances of the leads were great. Keaton was amazing and wasn’t a cookie cutter MCU villain.
Surprised with the last few Stark scenes and can’t wait for the Blu-ray to drop. Overall, an excellent film that finally does Spidey and Peter Parker some justice.

MJ.
Why? Just curious. I didn’t see a problem with that.
Best portrayal of Spider-Man/Peter Parker I’ve ever seen, don’t get me wrong still have a soft spot for Spider-Man 2 but I never thought Tobey got Spidey right. Tom Holland nails both.
It’s help that Michael Keaton kills it as the Vulture. [details=Spoiler]So glad Spidey didn’t let him die, don’t just throw away a great character like that[/details]
The only complaint I have really isn’t the movie’s fault at all, I just wish I hadn’t seen that super long trailer as it gave away a lot of storyline points. Even then I’ll commend the trailer for leaving the Peter Parker bits out, and they were a great surprise.
One last thing about the after credit scene [details=Spoiler] Marvel are some trolling fucks, but it got a big laugh in the theater I was in.[/details]
Randall Park has been cast as shield agent Jimmy Woo for Ant-Man and the Wasp
A movie is acknowledging shield’s revival in the MCU.

I think there’s a 50/50 chance they’re going serious with this…
