Idk, alot of ppl didn’t care for Thor Dark World & Captain Marvel. Id argue ppl only went to see that later cuz they expected it to lead into Endgame. Lol
EDIT: Forgot about Ultron, definitely was garbage aside from the villain himself. Iron Man 3 was nit really good either

Hah this isn’t true and you know it.

The Dark World and Captain Marvel are my least favorite Marvel films. Ultron himself made me enjoy Age of Ultron even though that movie wasn’t great.
Dark World and IM3 are the one I dislike. Both are meandering and take forever to go anywhere. Makes them dull. Haven’t watched either of them since I saw them in theaters.

Thor 2 and IM2 were my least favorite films.
I’d give both 6.5/10.
IMO the best are: Iron Man 1, Avengers 1, Avengers 4, Cap2/Winter Soldier, Cap3: Civil War
I’ve only seen Iron Man 3 once. That movie is trash.

My favorites are: Infinity War (#1 for me), Ragnarok & Cap 1-3. Honorable mention to the 1st Iron Man movie for kicking the MCU off

Personal Favorite 5 (No Specific Order)
Civil War
Winter Soldier
Avengers
Iron Man
Thor
Bottom 5 (No rank order except for Thor):
Thor: The Dark World
Captain America: The First Avenger
Iron Man 2
Ant Man and the Wasp
Incredible Hulk
Never found Iron Man 3 to be a “bad” movie. It’s just a bad Iron Man movie.
I do find it interesting that despite all the praise and the numbers, I don’t see Black Panther in many people (that I know) top 5.

From a cultural standpoint as a black man, BP was dope AF. As a movie, it wasnt a masterpiece or anything, but it was damn good.

BP was cool, but not enough or terrible actions sequences.
I thought Captain Marvel was better.
I got together with my crew back home and we talked about this when the movie came out. I liked it, but it’s more of a movie with accolades for cultural significance than the story told. Next to Thanos, Killmonger may be the best villain in the MCU. It was the first time that I shed a man-tear in a MCU movie because of a villain.
Bury me in the ocean , with my ancestors that jumped from the ships, because they knew death was better than bondage
That line delivered a punch square in the feels

I will take IM3 over IM2. Better action scenes in 2 but the story was a mess, 3 at least tried to do something different and had good jokes. Whether it succeeded or not it is the debate most fall into.

Yea, Killmonger did it for me. He was droppin gems the whole movie, and charismatic as hell. Kinda wished he’d lived so we could see more of that character

I liked all the IM movies, including 3. Loved the existential crisis Tony goes through.
And that fight scene without his suit where you get to see his true super power intelligence? So good.

I had a big long thing written out but I don’t really see the point in it. We’ll just agree to disagree. Admittedly though my statement did try to umbrella too much and tried to reach too broadly.
I’ll say this though: among the generally masses blind fanboyism/blind loyalty is very much a thing. Regardless of quality of something most people don’t care because it involves something they enjoy. And if they criticize it in someway that somehow makes them feel they don’t love it as much as they thought or as others. Or they’ll be criticized and ostracized by others saying they don’t love it or care as much as they do.
Which is just silly. I dealt with a lot of both when I worked at the comic book store, working dozens of conventions, tons of tournaments of various kinds, being apart of any number of communities at a time at working at GameStop and being apart of this very site.

I think what was great and may have hurt BP was the fact how it spoke to black people on this level no movie outside of slavery and racism movies. It spoke about the African diaspora, no movie I can really remember that main stream spoke to us like that. What made it so emotional and effective to me was also something alot of audiences mainly white would totally miss. They miss why it really affected us, most just saw black superhero.

I’d give BP a 8.5/10
Killmongers backstory and MBJ acting carried the film for me.
In addition ,that there were powerful female characters on par with the men was cool.
Thirdly, the design of the costumes/tech was cool and it mixed African and futuristic elements well.

Thor 1/2 are shit
Cap 1 is mediocre which is why WS was fucking bonkers.
IM3 is weak all around I don’t care if they retconned a fuck up with a one shot, it’s still shit.
AoU is fucking garbage and almost got me to stop caring about the MCU.
Captain Marvel was flaming dog shit on top of putrid garbage.
I love everything else though <3
