Yeah, if I had to pick an issue, is that Endgame didnt stick to its established rules. But I didnt harp on it cuz it was dumb fun to watch

Which is the main thing that ruined the movie for me. One thing I’ve always hated about a lot of comics especially main stream dc and marvel titles is how they bullshit and change the rules whenever it needs to fit the narrative. Its why I fucking hate alternate time lines, time travel, time paradox’s, alternate earths or universes etc. it’s fucking dumb.

Summary
Movie doesn’t actually break its own rules. Early on, they actually establish that what we think are the rules of time travel don’t apply. Later, the Ancient One basically states that the stones keep the timeline intact. Taking them out splits the timeline, but putting the stones back prevents that.

Which is horse shit. The current time line would have been out of wack then when thanos destroyed the stones if that was the actual case. It wasnt. They flipped the script just to fit the narrative. It was dumb.
Oh, also the kid they slow zoomed in on before focusing on Danvers and Fury is the kid that helped tony in IM3.

I said pretty much exactly the same thing to Darc_Requiem in pms.
It is also why I rank it just above A2.
And I struggle with even giving it that extra .5 of a point over A2.
But I cede it for sheer scale.
Age of Ultron still fucking pisses me off because they downgraded the Avengers legit greatest villain and biggest threat to a god damn villain of the week. Pissed me off when I first saw it in theaters. Still pisses me off. Will always piss me off.
I’ll never forgive the MCU for that.

Saw it. Enjoyed it. Not my fave marvel movie but Def had a satisfying conclusion. Kinda confused why Spiderman needs to be the end of phase 3 now that I’ve seen this.

I prefer Infinity War to Endgame for cohesiveness, how it brought all the franchises together for the 1st time and the emotional gut punch
I feel like Endgame despite its flaws stands on its own tho. Honestly u could contribute the main flaw as “its best just not to think about it” . I give EG an 8 opposed to the 9.5 I gave IW

Endgame is not the best Marvel film by a mile. I liked it better then Infinity War because I already knew all the people Thanos erased were coming back in a year so it seemed pointless. But it’s probably the worst of the best Marvel movies.
Summary
The time travel bothered me like a lot of people. They shat on other time travel movies then did an ever poorer job with their version. Throughout a huge chunk of the movie I was thinking, wait a minute… If you take the time stone before Doctor Strange gets it, then jump into the future doesn’t that mean Dormammu takes over the earth in that timeline? Even if you go back and restore the stone to it’s proper time, you are then eradicating every being in the new timeline you created from existence. The Avengers kill more people then Thanos.
The worst part of the movie is it’s 3 hours long but the overwhelming portion of the cast are reduced to 10 second cameos in the final battle. Such a huge waste of potential.

Danvers rocking the shorter hair though after the 5 year jump though? Yes plz. 
I’d agree with this if it wasn’t for how stupid, situational and convoluted the plot was. The airport scene and Cap/Buck vs Tony are really the only memorable parts to me.
And that in a nutshell is the best part of the Avengers flicks.

so me and stu are talking about the future of marvel and he disagree with me. but for me its pretty clear young avengers is coming. the fact they first really dropped hints during ant man and now we got teenagers because of the time jump. so antmans kid, monica, hawkeyes kid, and possibly iron mans daughter/riri maybe.

With Cap CLEARLY altering time and with the stones being destroyed. The timeline is undoubtedly fractured, warped and all out of whack. There are likely splintered time lines and universes now (another reason I hate fucking time travel cause it just opens a can of worms)
Them altering time and reality is likely how the The X-Men and F4 get introduced. Also due to the time and reality likely being fucked up is why the next phase will be heavily focused on the cosmic side and beyond of the marvel universe.
The celestials, the eternals and other cosmic beings are going to be fucking confused and pissed about how and why this happened. The avengers upset the balance of the universe.
Doesn’t make me more excited for it or make what they did “ok” with me. Cause time travel is dumb and just fucks everything up. But they’re going to likely try their damndest to make it “make sense”.

Re Young Avengers: If they go IronHeart/Riri I will be genuinely surprised. The new Iron Man will likely be the kid that helped tony overcome his PTSD and helped him find the Mandarin in Iron Man 3 though. He was at the funeral and Tony has likely been helping him with his own tech and inventions the whole time. I still don’t think it’s going to happen even remotely anytime soon though.
