Holland is the only spider-man I’ve liked. Both Toby and Garfield have too much of one aspect and absolutely none of the other to make me like or appreciate either of them.
This isn’t me thinking retrospectively either. Toby Spider-Man came out when I was 16. I did not like him in Spider-Man at all. Or the movie in general. I remember the only reason I sat through 2002 Spider-Man was because my best friend and I snuck in so I didn’t want to get caught by trying to leave early.
The only reason I stayed through Garfield Spider-man is because my friend paid for my ticket. I never saw the sequel because as soon as I saw Jamie Foxx as electro I noped out with the quickness.

The first Spider Man movie (2002) hasn’t really aged well for me. Everytime I go back and watch it, it gets campier for me and kinda silly, and Defoe’s performance as the Goblin is like a 60s cartoon villain. I know this was done during the “superhero movie resurgence” phase in the beginning of the century (along with X-Men) and all the “serious” details and tone hadn’t been set yet, but damn dude… And some CGI effects are just uuuggghhh…goddamn ugly (again, I know the effects hadn’t been perfected yet)
And oohhhhh boy do I hate Kirsten Dunst as MJ. I’m still kinda OK with Tobey as Spidey, but hooooly shit get that annoying howling bitch off my screen.

The x-men movies were ass too. I only liked X-2 because of Alan Cumming and Brian Cox. They made that sack of shit into something worth watching.
Similar to Alfred Molina fucking crushing it as Doc Ock in Spidey 2. He was the only good thing about that movie.

Kinda wild this little mini is worth so much now. It’s currently $60usd on amazon. I bought mine for I think $14usd (give or take a few bucks) off eBay shortly after the movie came out.
Edit: as I figured. A lot of amazon 3rd party sellers try to bank on the fact that most amazon users don’t use many online stores outside of amazon. It’s still going for $10-20usd on eBay.
