Just came back from watching Endgame, my mind is still reeling. Not one of my faves, hard to beat how fun infinity war was, but it was still good.

Summary

What a crazy, roller coaster that was. I loved how the movie dug deep into so many of the other movies to make it work. I especially loved when Iron Man, Hulk, Antman and Cap went back into Loki’s New York battle and see the gap of time when Loki was arrested. That felt very “Back into the Future” which had me laughing hysterically.

Now to move on and hopefully finish MK 11’s story mode.

Just came back from the screening. Ill have more thoughts on this in a couple of weeks. But for now;

Spoiler

Was a good movie. Very good in fact, probably one of the best superhero movie but was it the best thing ever??? No. I think a combination of being overhyped, somewhat predictable and the fact that the snapped heroes werent as much involved meant to me personally, it felt like a good movie but not an amazing one.

I think they did the 10year history justice, and all the tributes and callbacks were very fitting. But to put it another way, I liked Infnity War more than Endgame personally. I think IF there was a way of doing this movie without the timetravel shenanigans it would have been MUCH better, but at the same time dont see how they could do that.

So overall 7/10 at most for me. Oh, and Thor gets 14/10 for stealing the show.

Summary

There are several different ways the marvel universe has stopped Thanos and the infinity gauntlet in general. They could have used any number of them. They chose the easiest and fucking laziest. Time travel.

Like I mentioned though, with Thanos destroying the present day stones and the actions of the avengers, especially Cap’s have likely totally fucked with time and reality itself which is why phase 4 is going to deal with the cosmic side and beyond of the marvel universe.

Doesn’t make what they did okay but I know they’re going to do their damndest to make it “work”. Whatever that entails I have no idea. Or they’ll just do more ass pull bullshit and change the rules to fix the narrative like they were doing all throughout the movie.

We still have Adam warlock incoming. Depending on how they play him, it’s possible the guardians could form infinity watch. Going around trying to stop any incoming evil by trying to fix the holes cap made.

That’s likely what will happen. Yeah.

Just got back from my showing of Endgame … I liked it.

Summary

I need to up my comic reading though to understand the last fight, especially with Captain America being able to pick up Mjolnir during the last battle with Thanos.

It isn’t anything particularly special, honestly. However, Iirc Captain was the first character besides Thor to ever life the hammer. I could be wrong on that though because I know Hercules and Beta Ray Bill And other characters have held it as well.

Also superman.

Formulaic, focus-grouped, predictable, with a hint of feminist pandering. The Whedon-esque snarky dialogue to cut tension was tiresome. Aside from some fun fan service moments it was pretty forgettable.

Summary

Lol. Fucking what? What feminist pandering? Are you talking about when all the female heroes gathered together for a split second? Or Thor realizing his place in New Asgard is to not be apart of it like he’s always believed. Leaving it to Valkyrie? Or Thor’s mom who he never got to grieve over dying giving him advice saying he needs to be the person he wants to be? Or when Danvers got fucking rocked by Thanos?

I’m greatly confused. I don’t understand how someone can have issues with female empowerment. You can lift up one gender without burying the other.

Agreed

Thor was one of the best parts of the movie. And I’m hoping he’s in GotG 3.

Summary

Like even though the Avengers Prime (Cap/IM/Thor) are the only ones who’ve gotten true character progression and growth throughout the MCU, the other characters are still pretty well rounded. And with 2/3 out of the Avengers Prime out of the way there is a lot more room for growth for other characters. I’m wondering who they’re going to have lead the Avengers. Even though he’s taking up the mantle of Captain america I doubt it will be Falcon.

With Thor being a GotG now it won’t be him.

Maybe Captain Marvel Or Black Panther? Maybe Strange? I doubt any of those right now. They’re all too concerned with their own personal matters and well beings to be leader.

Maybe Bucky? iunno. Bucky only has the trust of a handful of people still.
Ah well, who fucking cares?

Summary

My guess will be Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Spiderman, Doc Strange, CapA Sam Wilson, New Female

Didn’t even remotely answer the question I posed. But ok. Though it was more thinking out loud than it was posing a question for anyone to answer. However; things that add to the discussion are fine.

Summary

Even with Spider-Man being an “avenger” I doubt he’ll truly be one. If they do young avengers like @maxx said he’ll likely team with them as opposed to the core avengers team. Even though spidey has been affiliated with a lot of teams it’s more or less out of a common enemy and not necessarily by choice. He’s always been a reluctant ally. Give or take a few times.

Though this spider-man takes more from Miles Morales than Peter. They also hint at Peter working for SHIELD in homecoming, which Miles does. So who knows?

If they go that route shouldnt be any further complaints about the illogical parts of Endgame

Naw. Itd still be fucking dumb.

Summary

GotG basically fighting off cosmic beings trying to undo all the shit Thanos and Cap did to reality and likely multiple timelines doesn’t sound interesting or fun to me.
