Marvel Heroes 2015 - The Cosmic Trials

Lol yeah, I remeber when we actually had to use strats for Greens. Good times. Even Axis became derp mode since they nerfed. IT was probably too hard for some weaker toons but I could surive it, besides the BS flamethrower, with Cyclops so I dunno. To this day, since beta, niggas still whine there aren’t tanks in the game. In a movement based ARPG. Sometimes General Discussion makes me sad, but I got some cool shit on giveaways, so I still stay there lol.

People in this game complain about cookie cutter itemization, which it is for pure DPS, but there are plenty of tools for survivability aswell. Adv Starston Tooth, Serum of Seraphim, etc. Niggas complain about homogenization of characters, yet are asking for Gambit to be exactly the same as other toons in the Test Center. I don’t even bother giving feedback anymore tbh. I’m just gonna whine a hell lot once Star-Lord’s time comes to get some dev love, because if it weren’t for me annoying the fuck out of amthua, I’m pretty sure casuals would’ve completely borked his unique revamp.

Although in Limbo’s case, I do agree it should be. Limbo should be especially easy since some great second tier artifacts are gated there and this game desperately needs to work on bridging the gap between BiS and the other options. Ideally, Limbo should be released alongside cosmic Limbo for challenge and extra chests.

Also, people legitimately arguing that all content, regardless of difficulty, should give the same rewards make me sad. It’s like the vast majority of this game completely misunderstand basic video game progression in a game that’s all about gear progression…

That is pretty much my issue right now. While I have my SW geared well, my Doom still needs work. There is no middle ground. Either your artifacts and uniques are up to par, or suck. Either you have BiS, or garbage.

and the BiS is insanely hard to get, for some characters. Good luck grinding out an Ultron Beam, or even finding enough shit to sell to afford one. Good luck grinding Sinister and Doom ad nauseam, trying to just FIND the cuirass and cloak, so you can start the painful journey of rerolling them to be usable.

If they fixed their garbage loot it wouldn’t be an issue. We are at 50 characters and it’s extremely hard to gear one character well, not to mention the massive grind that are omega points. They really can’t afford to keep being stingy with loot. I wanna play more heroes, but I don’t wanna spend massive amounts of time just to get a shitty version of BiS. We have plenty of RNG stacked on top of RNG already on cores (which should be easy to get the second they became a requirement for endgame), insignias, medallions and high roll artifacts.

Uniques are the only thing that are perfect in terms of drop rate. It’s very, very easy to get a set of uniques. Getting good rolls, aiming for that 90%+? Good luck with that. The massive roll ranges on uniques are great IMO, alwasy something to look for and it’s awesome to see you are actually making progress. When I ran magneto 760 times and got a Xorn (largely useless nowadays), no shirt and absolutely nothing else since I’m capped in Omegas, something is seriously fucking wrong with the loot.

Rerolling shouldn’t even be in the game for anything other then uniques or event locked gear. Make people work for good artifacts by playing, not sitting in front of a crafter for hours.

I’ve still never had a good item drop from a monster. Got my trifecta core from a relic of rarity, and got a GotK and Hand of Doom from Crimson Box. I’ve grinded Kurse, Taskmaster, Magneto, Sinister, and Doom for a day, with literally nothing to show, not even cosmic amulets. All while having like 1000% sif/rif from boost potions and such.

I’ve got like 20 level 60 characters, yet I can’t find a mother fucking single item? C’mon, now.

I also don’t like that a lot of bosses can NEVER drop anything good, and regular minions for that matter.

That’s why you have shit like people doing Taskmaster kills in 5 seconds, repeatedly, while ignoring everything else.

Cuz XP is the only real palpable reward we have in the game. And since thete is an effective cap…

Yeah, gaz needs to fix shit asap.

Some more options would be nice on artifacts…most artifacts and uniques tend to force you into pre-designed roles, and effectively kill some skills in the game.

Ehhh… That’s kinda more on Hero design and their tuning system, but the game being 95% boss kills also makes the issue even more glaring.

Everyone just does DPS, some toons (like Strange and Sue) can provide some utility for groups, but when every single character needs:
-Good AoE;
-Good Single Target DPS;
-Good Crowd Control;
-CC Break;
-Dash/Teleport/Roll;
-Vulnerability;
-Weaken;
-Dedicated Travel Power.

Along with homogenized cooldowns, and players moaning about “consolidation” of skills (which further diminish actual skill utility for anything other then DPS), I really can’t blame them on stagnanted character design.

Tuning tags guarantee that an AoE spender will not output the same DPS as an Single Target spender for example. Add in players demanding spammable AoE option and we got an useless power already. Now, they are forced to add gimmicks to characters. Say, you pick Star-Lord’s Elemental tree, you get the Ammo Loaders and the 3 actual core skills: Shot, Barrage, Blast.

However, if you load:
-Air: Shot becomes a trash clearer, Barrage main Spender that scales better with Attack Speed, Blast becomes a strong AoE that buffs barrage’s damage by 10% stacking 2x;
-Fire: Shot remains a standard ranged attack with a LoH component added, Barrage becomes a stackable DoT, Blast becomes a 2s cooldown nuke that gets 30% damage per stack of Barrage and scales with Area Damage;
-Water: Shot regens spirit, Barrage becomes a standard main spender that gains bonus vs slow targets, Blast becomes a localized AoE Slow that scales with Area Damage;
-Earth: Shot remains a standard projectile with a Area damage buff component added that stacks 5x (~1100 area damage rating at rank 50), Barrage becomes the main spender, except it gains a 1% multiplier to it’s total damage per 40 area damage rating, Blast is a becomes an AoE trash clearer.

It’s unique to him, and you can mix and match elements by themselves or mix it with the Outlaw Tree and allows quite a bit of flexibility in itemization. What’s the community’s reaction? “THIS SUCKS, TOO HARD!”, and they stuck using the Outlaw build that is as cookie cutter as you can get. And then, after him and Rogue, we started getting dumber designs, characters getting so simple there is no real need to manage anything besides health, like Hulk.

Hero design is a massive issue that no one in this game wants to talk about. Lack of more hotkeys is also a problem, that Gaz refuses to fix. The hassle that some heroes have to go to optimize themselves is ridiculous.

After all that shit talking, i bought loki and the lady enhanced costume…might even buy black widow with the left over g’s i had. before the labor day sales end.

Definitely going to be great on my Squirrel Girl.

Been getting kind of whacky with the summon gear on her. Current posse is Beta Ray Bill(team-up), a raptor, two AIM bots, a frost giant, a demon, and Mr. Sinister’s X-Men clones, as well as all of those Squirrel followers of course.

Trying to get her to 60 so I can use that alternate reality artifact that summons random characters with no cool down cap on activation.

found doom cloak finally, my doctor doom RAN through cosmic trial. I’m working on getting him end game geared, now. Just need to find sinister cuirass still, then 4 pieces of gear need +fighting.

I did a red raid today. Did great, except when I died fighting sisters, while trying to light a smoke, bitch hits hard lol. Got all my gear up to i66, except slot one, which is i69 :smiley:

Got awhile until Axis though. Still need to get 4 more recipes for leveling up to i69 gear, and that will require like 1k protector’s.

Axis drops suck ass. Other then Essence of Jinn and the medallion potentially dropping, it sucks harder then Surtur.

Yeah, they need better end game rewards.

Soo… what is this game exactly? A MOBA? I’ve never played one. Is it any good?

I’m sorta interested in checking it out but don’t know much about it. From what I can tell it looks like it plays sort of like Marvel Ultimate Alliance?
