Marvel Comics Thread

is skaar son of hulk a limited or ongoing?

I’ve heard it’s an ongoing.

i think so as well. But does anyone think it is going to be good? The question that bothers though is how the fuck did he get born and will he try to find his father?

Just finished reading the entire Planet Hulk graphic. Pretty awesome. Couldn’t find the World War Hulk follow-up though. How does that one go?

P.S. How did the Marvel vs DC comic end??

First issue of Son of Skaar was okay. Not digging the art too much but the story looks like it’s going to get better the longer it goes. The answer to how he got born is right there in the first issue, heck first few pages, probably too early for me to spoil.

Spoil it for me? I’ve pretty much had to stop buying comics in the past month to save money so I don’t think I’ll be picking that up soon.

well you mind well since you brought it up

ninja edit:

just got the origin and wow just wow

LOL okay.

Oh from what Marvel has said it will be like like Hulk + Conan the Barbarian the longer it goes, so I do think it will get a lot better down the line. Planet Hulk was like Hulk + Gladiator so this will be different.

Maury Povich: Hulk, you are the father!

Spoiler

His alien momma created a caccoon in her stomach that could survive the explosion, alien DNA I guess… anyway he survived the explosion and wound up at the bottom of the sea and he eventually emerged from the caccoon. IIRC about a year has past since Planet Hulk and he seems to age faster than normal, he looks like a teenager now just about. He pretty much has raised himself in the wild eating animals and what not, he can’t talk except for saying the word “SKAAAR!” lol!

just in case

Spoiler

So he’s like a Pokemon in that he’s in the wild and only says his name

Same here. tho I find the first issue very good and an excellent start for the series. Hell Skaar barely spoke a single word during the first ish!
BTW Punisher- Little Black Book was EXCELLENT, go get it!

aww shit next week is gonna be money grubbing

dd, hulk, cap, fist, 1985
as well as the atlas and the marvels HC

should be good readings though!

Just picked up the latest Herc issue, cool to see Nightmare again, doesn’t get enough time in the spotlight.

Skaar was alright, I do plan to stick with it for a while being a fan of Planet Hulk and Hulk in general, I agree with Sano and think the more time it’s given the better it’ll be.

It was mentioned in an interview that Hulk will indeed pop up in the series down the road, whether he goes back to Sakaar or Skaar comes to Earth is another matter.

On the topic of Hulk, why the hell is he back to being the “Dumb as bricks” version? I know he hasn’t been shown much, but the time he was shown recently he has that retard look on his face and say’s one of those old Hulk one-liners.

Seriously if Marvel needs to keep anything related to Planet/World War it needs to be that Hulk is a little more intelligent now, a little more dangerous, and a little more interesting.

i guess that laser hit his head pretty hard

I picked up the latest issue of Captain America(#38 I think it is)Is that who I think it is at the end listening to Dr.Faustus or someone else?

Oh damn I just remembered that the last issue of Runaways by Whedon is coming out soon!
GET HYPE!

Its not Steve (i think its explained in the begining of the issue)

dd was good as usual, building up to whoever is fucking over big ben

hulk i enjoyed, finally revealed who is read hulk, even though anyone would have known since issue 2, and i smell samson is getting hammertime’d next issue pretty hard

cap was great

grand director (new cap) and bucky are gonna showdown, should be good

iron fist is leaving a big opening for swierczynski to start a new arc, big things for danny

1985, still keeping me interested, totally makes you feel like you are reading a cartoon from the 80s

good books this week

Since I’m getting Hulk tomorrow anyways, Spoil this for me Buz. Who is it?!

Also I’m a sucker for Loeb “Who dun it’s?!” and I enjoy this run, also I like the Red Hulk, I hope he doesn’t go away after this initial arc.

buz left out marvel comics presents. best book of the week

Lemme guess, Deadpool is in it?
