Marvel Comics Thread

Give me my money, honey!

Young X-Men should’ve just been Dust, Rockslide and Blindfold.
EDIT: Nova 13 was kickass, that X-Factor one-shot was good too.

Picked up Cable & Deadpool #50 today, the last issue. Is Deadpool over or is he still gonna be around?

New series starts in August, where he will be kicking green ass.

Edit: Just noticed something…that cover to Young X-Men 2 is pretty sexy.

How was Spiderman Back-in-Black?

I want to read that next

Sooooo there’s this rumor that the one who’s going to play Captain America is Matthew McConaughey ofcourse its just a realy early rumor
Look wise he can be Cap but the voice hmmmmm not just not it

Pointless. He beats the crap out of Kingpin because he shot Aunt May…and that never happened. So don’t bother reading it.

The New X-Men was FUCKING AWESOME!
I’m gonna start a New X-Men thread to express my love for this series and it’s characters, even tho there is already an X-Men thread.

The cover has made me strongly consider unseating Jessica Drew as the hottest Marvel lady.

seriously.

Umm that’s from Young X-Men, plus Magma didn’t do anything in the recent series, but hey if you’re talking about the classic ones, good for you

Nope. I just misread what you said. I still love that cover to Young X-Men #2 though.

Probably should’ve used a spoiler tag man

Cmooon. That happened like a year ago or something!

I thought they were trying to go for Brad Pitt?

I hope its anyone but Matthew McConaughey.

Personally, I’d have to say James Caviezel (aka Jesus Fucking Christ) would make a really great Cap. I used to be saying that Kiefer Sutherland should be Cap, but he’s not an American.

JMS’ Amazing Spider-Man: Back in Black is actually a good read. It’s a well-done Spidey story with a darker tone. The art by Ron Garney is probably some of the best I have ever seen him draw. It’s probably one of JMS’ stronger Amazing Spider-Man storyarcs.

Some of the Sensational Spider-Man: Back in Black issues were okay. I think there was at least one Clayton Crain issue that stood out. I think Sano liked the issues with Eddie Brock in Aunt May’s hospital.

I didn’t get a chance to read most of the Friendly Neighborhood Back in Black issues, but it’s Peter David… It can’t be bad.

Yeah I agree with everything Zephyranthes said. Back in Black in ASM was a bit upsetting to me because I’m never a fan of whenever Spider-Man gets too dark, but it was a good read. I like the story a lot more now than I did at the moment. Again, the dark stuff kind of bothered me, Spider-Man went to a place writers hardly ever take him. Though I think JMS handled it very well in the long run.

BEHOLD-
MODOG
…and seriously if you don’t know what the G stands for, then you’ve obviously haven’t read Invincible IronMan yet

BAH! I was hoping MODOT and MODAM got married, bought a house, settled down with the baby MODOT from Nextwave and then bought a nice little MODOG to play fetch with. One of those happy endings where they just live a normal life, ya know?

Anyway, I hated ASM Back in Black. It started really strong, with him just going nuts, throwing cars at people and beating the shit out of everyone…but then he doesn’t kill Kingpin. I should’ve pointed out the only BiB arc I read was ASM, though.
