You do realize that the monthly issues and sales are what determines if they keep a series going right? not TPB’s?
I don’t really care about the economics of it all. I doubt Daredevil will stop anytime soon because of poor sales. I could care less about Punisher once Ennis finishes his run because it looks like he’s closing all his stories on the final arc anyway.
^It’s mindsets like that that got AW canceled. Again.
I can tell you that Foolkiller is pretty good (I’m cheap on this one and read it at the store)
Is silent war any good?
Don’t tell me we are going to have a Cap-Clone saga storyline or a Cap vs.Cap story almost similar to Batman vs.Azreal Batman
Sorry, against the rules - http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=115446
On top of that Marvel is really cracking down on people who do and spread this sort of thing, so we can all get in serious trouble.
Any questions about this just PM me, thanks.
But he’s back and better than ever!!
…
So… I’ll just go back to reading Infinity Watch
PAD will cross over his She-Hulk with his X-Factor comic during Secret Invasion. A whole lot of PAD! :lovin:
See thats the thing…Newsarama did an interview with Brubaker regarding the ending to #36 and he basically said
Captain America
Spoiler
“Anyone who thinks that Steve Rogers was cloned is dead wrong”. When he said that i can only assume that the Red Skull somehow went back in time and captured Steve when he was frozen. That would make for a interesting return but it would suck only because i would like to see Bucky as Captain America for awhile.
Maybe i’m jumping the gun on this but hopefully theres a good payoff to this whole storyline.
In Brubaker we trust!
He already magically warped the X-Men into the 60s and we’ve kept the faith…he can have a time-traveling Red Skull pulling Captain America out of the 40s.
Speaking of Brubaker, I’m not a fan of this art from the last few issues of Immortal Iron Fist. It seems like it’s gotten progressively worse since #8. Still a great comic, but the art isn’t as good.
This is true. I can’t remember the last time Adam Warlock had a series with his name in the title. Maybe a couple years ago when they had that Charlie Adlard 4 issue mini? But see… If Marvel had done a TPB of that, I would have bought it. Or maybe if they had a better writer to write it, it would have been able to survive.
If Marvel were really hardcore, they would just publish the issues as loss leaders and recoup with the TPBs. I’m pretty sure that’s how a lot of Vertigo series survive. Things like Y and FAAAAABLES!!1 probably have (or had) below average monthly sales but their TPBs are always at the top of the charts. I realize Marvel doesn’t have Warner Bros. backing them, but what about a series like The Walking Dead at Image? I don’t know how well the single issues of The Walking Dead sell, but I know the TPBs are big sellers.
Adam Warlock had a recent series I remember Thanos did a few years ago (no Ron Lim blasts though)
Nothing happened in Thor #7, so save your money.
I thought Ron Lim did draw the last few issues of Thanos before it got canceled. I think that series lasted about 12 issues. Jim Starlin must’ve written and drawn the first six, and then I think he had a falling out with Marvel, and then Giffen and Lim did a few issues, and then it ended. But my memory’s hazy on this, and just thinking of RON LIM POWERBLASTS gets me high, so don’t take my word for it.
The Ms. Marvel series actually improve a good bit after CW. It still is somewhat average compared to your better series but I think the stories have gotten better and the action is nice.
I have decided to read Captain America since the bookshop I go to has managed to get a couple TPBs
How is Immortal Iron Fist?
Also how’s Wolverine Origins shaping out? I hear DP is doing more good to it than Way ever has…
In all honesty the book was at it’s peak when Wolverine was kicking Captain America’s ass back in the early days and vice versa lol! The lowest point was the first issue when Condoleezza Rice died. Or I dunno, maybe some would view that as a high point.
I really don’t like it, It doesnt even feel like wovlerine. Yet i continue to get each issue.
You don’t know what you are talking about. Wade is making that book entertaining. Baby bomb ftw. The last issue gave me hope for the new series.
