Secret Invasion was cool -and no there was no Scarlet Witch cop out. I wish it had more of an ending as opposed to being an ad for you to pick up more Marvel comics, but it left the universe in a fun place at the very least.
SI was the best BIG event Bendis has done, but I still can’t say I enjoyed it more then some of the tie ins in other titles.

Yes, Professor X needs a lot of ass kicking. I wonder what messed up thing we will find out he did next. Wouldn’t shock me if they found the Sentinel’s original designs in his desk drawer.

My guess is that Professor X has a lot more to do with Juggy’s hero stint than he is letting on. Or at least Juggy thinks so. After Professor X being partially responsible for Wolverine’s memory loss, the Vulcan ordeal, Illuminati, Onslaught, etc. he’s been shown to be quite a douche bag actually…

I’ve been reading it of course - Hi my name’s Sano, have we met - but Legacy is not really about him seeking redemption or Professor X redeeming himself. He is trying to get his memory back and taking a look at why he’s done the things he’s done. He is also seeking forgiveness but not everyone is going to be as forgiving as Wolverine was. He just has to accept that he had reasons for doing the things he did at the time and move on from there. Carey goes deeper into it in the interview I posted earlier.
?I think in a way this is a turning point in Charles?s attempt to understand his own past motivations and actions in ?Legacy,? which is basically what the book has been about. To some extent he?s realizing as Emma Frost said in ?Walkthrough [the arc before ?Original Sin], 'You can spend all your time hand wringing about your own purity but in some cases the end does justify the means. And sometimes you have to look at the overall outcomes that you’ve achieved and let yourself off the hook.? Xavier doesn’t have an actual foil, right now. He has himself and that’s basically that. However, for all of the things he’s been responsible for, an equal or greater amount of terrible things have happened to him.
Doesn’t mean he doesn’t need a smack or two. Especially for all that Deadly Genesis bidness.
