I started some recording recently, just SFIV, but if I were to record my mahvel matches they could make people that don’t even understand the game go into a depressive funk. It’s that sad.

My friend who doesn’t really play fighting games(other than being an MK fan) said he might want to tag along with me, I figured I’d ask you if it’s alright if he came and watched, figured it’d be better asking on here than asking on your doorstep.

Edit: Actually, change of plans, I wont be making it tonight, but I’ll want to come down Monday instead if I can… my previous question still stands though, my friend is unpredictable and may want to come whenever he hears I’m going.

Random Makoto tech for those interested:

Backthrow, take a step forward > neutral safe jump roundhouse, low short option select dash > karakusa.

It’s a canned mixup off her backthrow that includes a safe jump and is a tick to karakusa that includes an option select to chase backdashes and teleports. Hooray!
For bonus points you can do half circle back roundhouse+strong at the end to also punish a jump back with a fukiage into a juggle. The Makoto forums call it a “fukikusa.” Note: if you get a hit with the roundhouse and short, the karakusa will still land almost every time due to the low hitstun on the short, which is why short is better for this setup than stand strong or some other button.

Once you start doing the safe jump you can do dirty stuff like pressing the roundhouse early and making it whiff to land into mixups. Fun!

Edit: I forget already, but if the character you’re running this on double dashes back will it still grab them or does the karakusa whiff?

If you have a good backdash (chun, rose, twins), you can double backdash out.
