It would have been the most explosive party this side of Connecticut. That is why I did not show up.
Speaking of that Cammy, it seems that a lot of people are getting grabbed by Hooligan throws in these videos. The easiest thing to do against that attack is to crouch block. If she tries a grab it’ll whiff since it can only grab high, she’ll fall in front of you, and if you’re fast, or her grab cancel is late, you can start a combo off of some jab strings, or you can go into a possible tick throw setup. If she lets the slide come out then you just block it and she’s wide open for a combo, if she doesn’t FADC it that is.
Another way to avoid it is to backdash, however this is super risky unless they go for a wakeup tech trap, as the slide can catch you if you mistime it which can be just as bad as a backthrow setup as she can combo both Ultra or Super off of the slide and you’ll most likely be in the corner, which just plain sucks. A grab invincible attack is also a good option (ie. Ryu’s EX SRK).
Hope that helps someone if they were confused as to what to do.
ducking really is the safer option, plus with the ability to punish it, it leads to greater damage opportunities then trying to AA it with a normal or special.
Also remember: If they do a meaty hooligan setup press a button as you are waking up and holding down. If the Cammy times it correctly, there is one frame where you are considered standing even if you are holding down back on wakeup. This means that cammy WILL grab you if you do not press a crouching normal on that frame, as doing a crouching normal forces your character into a crouching state on that frame. Not sure if I’m explaining this correctly, ask me on Monday for an example if you don’t get what I’m saying.
Yeah I’m terrified to watch them. I mean, I was hella crunk and even then I was shaking my head at some of the shit I did.
It was like I could see myself externally, knew I was horridly drunk and I was doing terrible things, yet, I was absolutely helpless to do anything about any of it.
so like does nicks dreamcast work or whatever ?
also found a video of the area we had for if you guys wanted to get a peak of how it is in the trenchs
What would he need a dreamcast for?
Also, totally getting my hair done! I’m going to be a girl and get excited about it!
To practice that Marvel so he doesn’t look as free against NB.
Haha, we’ll see who the free ones are, don’t worry. Probably Halifax, but we’ll keep that quiet.
Uhhh because it was a gift and dreamcasts rule. Has a good library of titles and really died before it’s time like the Saturn. I have still my dc library and day 1 dc in working order and sure all the Capcom games too don’t hurt … Mvc2 unlocks omg
Nick bring it with a controller tonight to yvettes if you read this and I’ll bring a game we can try out , I assume weds stuff is going on?
My favorite part about watching the videos was actually ultra eater constantly walking forward, and landing shit on you guys, as a drunk player it must have been terrifying for you.
Ran Bat Season 6 has finished!
This Monday January 24th there will be a special 3rd Strike evening. It will be run on Xbox 360, as it is a backwards compatible title, and everyone can use their 360 sticks.
We should be able to run 3-4 stations, with the remaining 1-2 running SSF4.
It is a casual night; come one, come all for a very different SF experience!
If you’re using the anniversary collection, your TE’s won’t work if I remember correctly. There’s a couple preset button configs but none of them are right for the TE. I could be wrong though, just going off memory
One way to find out I suppose, I can see that happening though, Original xbox games played on the 360 map the black and white buttons to the bumpers. Maybe just switch the LT and RB buttons for the night?
I think you have to switch the buttons around, but it does work. I was trying it out the other evening.
I have SF: AC and play it on my 360 without any controller problems. The only problem-esqe thing is that Fierce and Roundhouse are swapped by default, so just go into the options and reconfig them.
You can manually set your buttons? I didn’t know that, if that’s the case then we wont have a problem at all. Aside from the initial “which button is which” dilemma. Dilemma, lemma, lama, what?
It’s Llama. Just saying.
So, 3S is crazy. I feel like I can barely get a hang of IV, I’m just going to kill myself doing this. Unintentionally, of course.
