Anyone willing to share a PS3 controller/stick for SF4? I might try and get one before then, but just in case…?
I really don’t know why the SFIV Hori, or the TE sticks aren’t dual compatible. I’m going to order a dual compatible stick from AIAB, but definately won’t have it in time for Final Round :sad:
You can use mine. I’ll also have a ps2 to ps3 converter, so if you have a stick you want to use that’s ps2, feel free.

In SF4 I can see Gouki/Akuma being in the top 8 if not top 4
Update: Only chance I have of NOT making Final Round this year Larry is if I don’t get my tax return by the middle of March…
But so far things still look good…

First post in this thread gives details for the tournament, and in those details states that Gouken is banned. I am simply asking a question, as to why the character was banned. As I am a little bit confused since this character has never even been playable till today basically.

and im pretty sure the same amount of time you took to read the very first page, you could read a page or two before this one to see the discussion on “why” shinblanka made his decision to ban this character, feel free to read below sir’

I have had this debate in several threads in the sf4 section. Please reserch the sf4 threads to see what I’ve said on this subject. Just keep in mind that in older threads some of my post were erased from the matrix so you will never know the full reason. That topic always starts as a nice debate and then turns into flames/bash shinblanka threads! I don’t want that negative energy in this thread. If me banning 2 characters in SF4 will cause you not to come to FR12, then I will erase your name from the list.
I don’t want unhappy tournament goers at FR12, but those are the rules. As I’ve said in the other threads ***nothing is set in stone ***and I could change my mind when the console is released.:rolleyes: The problem is convicing me to unban them. With all of the flames/disrespectful post towards me on these forums and beyond srk will make it a hard sell now. I Don’t respond well towards the bashing method of trying to get me to change my rules at fr12. If anything that would make me unwilling to bend on the rules that are set. This will be the last time I address this issue until the week before FR12. My final verdit will come then.
I’ll edit you name out if you want me to sir. I don’t want unhappy players at FR12 and I wouldn’t want to waste your time or money. Everyone’s time is valuble and it shouldn’t be wasted imo. You should do what you feel is right for you sir. That’s what i’m trying to do with FR12. I figured if I Ban them now that those that didn’t agree with the ban wouldn’t attend. It would give me sometime to test them out when the console version is released, so I can make a better ruling on if my ban was justified or not through a lot of testing and getting opinions from other players I respect in the community.
It would be unfair to anyone if I waited until 1 week before FR12 and surprized everyone with the ban that I planned to do in the 1st place. I would rather give you the option to choose if you are willing to attend a tournament with those rule’s or sit this one out. I’m not trying to set the sf4 console tournament rules standard for the whole community with this ban, but some people are taking it to that level. I don’t believe a Major Tournament should be the testing grounds for characters I believe to be Gill-ish. Not within 3 weeks of the console release!
If I believe those characters maybe on the Gill side of broken BS then I reserve the right to ban them 1st and test them out 2nd to prove they aren’t gamebreaking. I was only going to ban seth at 1st, but someone pointed out several people saying that at CES tournament that they thought gouken was worst than seth. I was also told it wasn’t fair to ban seth and not ban gouken since they both are in question in being broken or not. I agreed with them and added gouken just to be fair. I wish the game would have been out on console atleast 2 months before FR12, but it won’t be.
There will be 2 1/2 weeks worth of testing that will need to be done before I can make the final verdit on seth and gouken. This issue is pretty much dead to me until that time comes. Please take this debate to the proper threads and let’s not derail this thread anymore than it already has been. Thank you.

Yeah cause somehow I just magically knew that out of this 70+ page thread the answer would be two pages back from the end of the thread…Im pretty sure that sifting it was much quicker to read the first post then to sift thru that many pages… But thanks for posting what Blanka said anyhow
