(Official Final Round 16 Schedule) On Friday there will be 3 tournaments going down on all consoles including Dreamcast/Ps3/X360 so thats 3 different ways to win. Top 3 winners for each console will be awarded 1st/2nd/3rd place medals and 1st place winner of the Dreamcast tournament will be awarded a crystal trophy. Saturday & Sunday will feature Exhibition Matches from some of the best old/new school players so stay tuned to the live stream for details and times. Play time has ended so let the madness begin. In the words of DMX, LETS GET IT ON! Here are a few things that everyone needs to know about when they touchdown. I will be touching down Friday morning at 11:00am so I hope everyone has a safe trip and get ready for the madness thats about to begin this weekend. Ill see all you playa’s in a few hours so Let the HYPE BEGIN!
1: Tournaments - All tournaments will start ON TIME! We are running on a time schedule which means if your called for a match and you dont show up you will be DQ’ed (No exceptions) so your best bet is to stay in the area or have someone let u know when your match is up. The program for the bracket we will be using is Challonge and will be posted on the wall. We CANNOT make changes such as adding late players or changing names to the bracket so again I ask everyone to be on time. The faster we get done with the tournaments the faster we can get the money match party started!
2: Money Matches - Im bringing envelopes so that all the money stays on point and not visible. If you are side-betting with someone you can handle it yourself or come see me and ill handle it that way nobody gets assed out on a bet.
3: Setups/Sticks - If you can bring whatever consoles you can. We will need Dreamcasts/Ps3/360 and make sure you have the correct video outputs because we will be playing on crt tv’s. If you have monitors or tv’s those are welcomed as well. If you have an extra stick for any console bring it cause will be needed.
4: Afterhours in the Mvc2 Salty Suite - Everything will be announced in the ballroom where everything is going down and we will update the group with the times and room number. Everyone thats attending needs to check the wall and see what room number we will be playing in.
5: Text Messages - Alejandro Martinez is willing to mass text everyone to let you all know when the main event, undercards and other money matches are going down so when you register for the tournament If you want you can give him your number to be notified when things go down. I did this at evo and it worked out!
6: Cameras - Everyone is welcomed to bring your camera’s/recorders/tripods. I would like to capture all the hype and crowd so im bringing mine as well.
7: Award Ceremony - Im going to talk to Shin Blanka and ask if we can get Mvc2 in the award ceremony on stage for sunday along with the rest of the games. If we cannot then we will have our own in the mvc2 area.
