So I was thinking of buying a glove because my hands can’t do the piano method fast enough for the lightning legs on a consistent basis. I just do the slide method bare handed. That burns my hands man. Especially when it’s sweaty, it adds to the frictions. So I was thinking of having a michael jackson glove on my hand so I can lightning legs with ease.

Does having a glove hinder your performance in anyway when pressing the buttons? The only utility I can see for this is for slaps and legs.

Can you develop calluses on your finger so that it’ll toughen up? That’ll be like the street fighter equivelent of toughening your shins up if you are a thai kick boxer imo.

SRSLY. THS B A SRS QUSTON. What are your thoughts?

Buy a pool glove, and make a real big show of things when you put it on. It’d be hilarious, yet functional.

I tried using a glove for my (short) run at using Gen. It’s thin enough to not impede motion, but thick enough to protect your fingers.

You could develop finger calluses to eventually stop the blisters, but the ladies don’t like rough hands.

Now quit editing your post!

You could of put this into the general thread

Anyways just wrap your tool if you are so worried

I’ve tried using a billiard glove and it certainly makes sliding your inputs pretty much effortless with how little friction it has, but it just isn’t as satisfying as pulling it off with your fingers writhing in pain. And no, I’m not some masochist.

If you’re sliding with one finger. It’ll definitely tear you’re finger up.

The method I prefer to use puts the least amount of stress on your fingers.

I hit c.MK+HP then slide my index and middle finger to LK then slide both fingers back to HK. It’s a good method because you slide with two fingers and isn’t as bad, only problem is if you goto fast you might get EX legs a lot more than you’d want to.

Oil up.

(sorry)

I’ve been using a bandaid, but it’s been confusing some people so I think I’m going to get a glove/some gloves. One guy plays Akuma here with what look like mountain biking gloves, so I’m tempted to give them a shot.

I bought a set of winter gloves to wear (the material is kind of thin) and its been working nicely for me. I’ve used it for about a week now and it takes a second to get used to but it feels natural after a while. I say go get one

i use my left thumb to get one extra short in, and slide with my right thumb instead of my index/middle finger.
for me, it’s the most consistent and least painful, no glove needed.
input would look like:
cr. HP + MK
cr. LK (left thumb)
cr. LK ~ MK ~ HK (right thumb)

Man up, learn dat piano!

Being able to piano is a useful skill with many characters in many games, so it’d be a waste not to learn it.

Get some callusis bro. Seriously.

My information is useless and contained in post #4 already. :]

If you got the finger puppets with Super try them out, they work fine for me

Ok… so I have been playing street fighter for like 20 years and never seen anyone wear a glove… Why would you wear a glove?

Same reason there’s advanced hand to hand combat training courses in the military nowadays. Soft.

ok. I just never even heard of that… thanks
