That’s irrelevant.
If your child doesn’t feel guilty, it’s on the parent to see where they went wrong, or to figure out if their child is actually a sociopath.
Either way, you didn’t exactly give a reason to NOT do any of what I mentioned.
He didn’t do it right(inspire fearing failure/not risking doing dumb stuff for fear of consequences) considering how you act/come off a lot of the time.
If he did, maybe you would be civil more often than you usually are, LOL
To be honest, now looking at the situation I’m glad that the father actually received some sympathy. If anything, the media could have made him into a complete monster and he would have received more jail time. Other than that, that’s actually a very tragic way to go.
Yes, while I understand Internet culture (well, not really you guys are FUCKED up), I still found the fact that your original post got WTF’ed a bit disturbing.
It’s one thing to be funny because a tragedy is far away from you, but another thing entirely to feel absolutely nothing.
That said, comedy has a history of poking fun at the serious when it tastefully can do so. Taste, in this case is largely up to the listener.
If you want to take a more philosophical look at it, people laughing at this situation is really the only rational response. A young girl died accidentally due to a slap, she died unintentionally and for literally no reason. Sometimes life is so absurd that all you can do is laugh about it otherwise it would overwhelm you.
I mean we hear stories about death almost every single day. There’s no way anyone here genuinely feels hurt by reading this story. You might be able to empathize with the situation but it doesn’t really affect any of us. Which is why I can’t understand the guys who pretend like they’re genuinely hurt by this story.
As if they wouldn’t feel emotional burn-out at this point by how often stories like this get reported.
It’s more like they just want to shame those who consider something funny that they consider a tragedy.
You have to admit, it is a ridiculous way to go out. This could’ve easily been a skit on some comedy show and we would all laugh at the absurdity of it because of how implausible it is. Just because it actually happened doesn’t make it any less absurd.
Why can someone go to jail for 5+ years for vehicular manslaughter (not under the influence) but not face-to-face manslaughter and technically child abuse?
Though this is tragic, I can’t help but feel bad for all the puns in here that have made me laugh. The Fist of the North Start references just add to it…
I never said it was out of the question.
If a kid REALLY fucks up(acting like a total scumbag when I know he’s the exact opposite), then yeah, he’s going to bed with bruises that were deserved,
but it’s a last resort, IMO; only for extreme scenarios.
