My asian wife hardly ever wheres her engagement ring, just wears her plain two tone band.
I never heard of this soldering thing either…Must be like the gold/diamond teeth thing “our people” invented

I’m surprised to learn that the engagement ring and wedding ring being worn together is a foreign concept to some. If you spend a G on a baller ring, Mrs. ought to be wearing it for good.
The rings are usually stacked, not perma-bound together. Future-wife’s engagement ring will actually be worn ‘inside’ of her wedding ring. Pic of her first ring to follow.

Future-wife’s pink diamond engagement ring.
My wedding ring sans spotlights. I thought it had 5 diamonds. Haven’t seen it in a while.
I vote no.
I think a lot of it boils down to how well it fits your style. If you’re conservative, it might seem out of place. I’m regarded as being moderately flashy, so my ring will come as no surprise to anyone.
Can you pull it off?
Do you like it?
When it comes to wearing anything, these are the only two questions that matter.
I think Woody Harrelson said it best in White Men Cant Jump
“A white man wants to win first, look good second. A Black man wants to look good first, win second”
never heard of a man wearing an engagement ring.
vynce, how much did your ring cost with all those rocks?

i’ve never heard of soldering, but i don’t really no much about wedding rings in the first place. i have heard of wedding rings having a slot in the middle that the engagement ring fits into though.
lol that’s not true at all. more expensive cars are generally better made and more reliable. there are legitimate reasons to wanting a mercedes, lexus, bmw rather than a hyundai or kia that have nothing to do with being flashy. there isn’t really any reason to have some flashy ring (or any jewelry) other than to be stuntastic.
i’m not saying there’s anything wrong with wanting to stunt, but please don’t insult niggas’ intelligence by pulling bs analogies out of your ass.
i just remembered that one of my homies has a USC rose bowl championship ring. niggas (and hoes) stay ogling that shit when they first meet him lol.
Vynce I guess I’m sorta the same as you…shrug I guess I’ve made the decescion to go ahead with diamonds, I’m fighting ‘for it’ too much.
benz and mercedes last 10-15 year while maintaining a decent value…hyundais and hondas don’t.
there’s a reason why in germany people have no problem splurging on a benz and getting a 10+ year payment plan whereas in korea you’d be hardpressed to find anybody but the brokest mofo around driving a 10 year old hyundai.
if you’re lazy and don’t want to be bothered maintaining your car then fine, but that doesn’t change the fact that one is clearly better than the other in very tangible ways.
I can’t speak on the cost of maintence over there, only in the states, and in the states it cost alot more to maintain a German vehicle. But hey, American cars are stil lcheaper than Japaneese/Korean cars…especially transmission and engine work har har.
hits thread with derail button
I can’t front when I was doing my car search, the Genesis was my #4(#1 was the Ac TL; 2 - Accord; 3 - Buick Regal I think I forget which model, their 33k-ish sedan; 4 - Genesis; 5 - Caddillac SRX). Hyundai has really stepped up their game the past few years…they still feel like ‘the young buck’, but they seem more worthwhile to think about besides “I need a cheap pos to get by”…though I still have KIA in that spot despite it being Hyundai.
Only problem with the Hyundai Sonata is the stupid “eco” mode the car gets put into when your maintaining a low speed. If you want to punch it, the car has a delay of a good 1-2 seconds before it realizes it needs to rev the engine. The fix for that is to get the stick shift; but of course, the stick is only available in the lowest category of cars with the fewest features (whats that all about?)
Bah to getting a “crossover”; skip it and just get a full blown SUV. I really don’t see the point as they are only a TAD bit bigger than a sedan (really got pissed when we couldn’t properly fit a 42 inch TV into Unreal Morano.) As is i’m looking at a SUV for kids/hauling DJ stuff.
From wedding rings to auto quality? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
This is what I have to say in response…LOL
Yea, I was in Flordia with the rental; so highway to street and vice versa was a bitch. LOVED the car otherwise though, if I needed a new ride right now (barring getting an SUV) it would be the Sonata hands down (and they have a turbo edition…copped SON!)
We dropped the seats and were able to put it in the car on a tilt. Made me open my eyes to “lil suvs”; but as for now, the biggest thing in I need a ride that can hold 3-4 people WITH equipment behind them; Denali XL here I come…
They were asking $600. I told them I’d take it for $450. Future-wife’s ring retailed for $2200 or so (it’s from some Cali jeweler). I found it on overstock for $900
Was the diamond comparable though? (as in were they rated the same, VVS, etc?)
Yeah, it was literally the same ring. Same certs.
thats good savings vynce, well done. and congrats to you too.
