Makoto Vs. Ken yes this is a cry for help

But after a SRK on wakeup, often Ken does the S.A. III cause the Hp//Ex SRK is easy to see the “Hit confirm”… ^^U

I’ve just found something funny:
The Ken I fight likes to use the “close-up-standingMPxHPxSA3” when I get up.
I he fucking catches the frame I wake up, so, if I parry the frist punch, I can parry the next punch and, with the same timing, it comes the SA3.
I used to take the rest of the SA3 trying to parry every kick.

BUT you can parry’n’throw :smiley:

You can parry any hit of shippu and imediatley short karakusa and it will grab them, or you can nutral jump after the 3rd hit and get free jumpin combo (note j fp won’t hit through)

Yes, parry forward to regular throw = really good for all characters. Good on defense if your playing against makoto’s too. Or from a down parry of course too , such as when someone activates genei jin and you parry their first hit down =)

you know if someone activates GJ and they throw out a random shoulder tackle (yun’s DP punch) you can catch him with karakusa, be on the look out for random/grabage yun’s who try to do this to you =D

lead ken to believe he can dp you, bait them, etc. hayate mixups are good here, if he likes to reversal inbetween, block and punish, if he likes to jump… s.lk - ex oroshi, or my favorite, jab hayate - fierce hayate juggle. if he likes to techroll, mix it up with some crouching fierces and kara karakusas. in the corner, after a toward short, bait a dp or if you think/know he’s gonna block, kara karakusa.

Are you saying that you can jump after blocking the third hit of Shippu?

I don’t know how much this helps in high-level play, but if Ken (or any shoto) does a random tatsumaki, you can use fukikage to hit his leg without taking any damage on top of gaining a juggle opprotunity.

Chances are it will be an Ex version so it stays in place. Offers enough time to dash up grab though =O
