I use s.MP>MP Ororshi>cr.MP>MP Hayate. Works most of the time.
Follow up i use with it…
cr.LK>light Hayate

That’s a pretty bad string. I’d advise picking up a new string.
Lol i know Oroshi is slow.It might sound crazy but i have gotten it on people most of the time.
I think people block until i hit oroshi on them then they try to mash something and i get a cr.MP on them.
Probable should try something else tho

And because it is slow, it can be mashed out of. So mashers will get you every time :/. Try adding more HC into your blockstrings
For example: s.mp>HC>s.lp>s.mp>HC> IA tsurugi/Karakusa/another s.mp… and so on.
Never practice that one, will do.
I not to great with the 1 frame links since im on a controller and plinking isnt much of a option.
But i can do s.MP>HC>Karakusa.
easy stuff

I don’t plink MP>MP but I feel pretty consistent. So your pad shouldn’t hold you back on that.
And you need to be careful not to get predictable with MP xx HC> Karakusa since there’s quite a gap there.

There are so many options for s.MP, s.MP. So many options. Any ()s are a potential mix-up at that point.
j.HP, (HK Karakusa), s.MP (xx HC, EX Karakusa) (xx EX Oroshi to possibly catch a croucher) (xx EX Oroshi or EX Hayate if you hit-confirmed the j.HP) (, IA MK Tsurugi to catch throwers and potentially crouch teching) (, block into a late crouch tech, to catch reversals) (, s.LP as a frame trap), s.MP (xx HC, HK Karakusa) (xx EX Hayate or EX Hayate on hit-confirm) (, c.HP to catch people holding back at this point while being mostly safe) (, f+MP to stay in their face) (, FA level 2 to stay in their face, preferably into A. c.LK xx LP Hayate or B. LK Karakusa. The beauty here is unless you’re fighting Cody or someone where they can reversal while still holding down-back, it is ALWAYS a guess between blocking low or eating a LK Karakusa).
Yes, that paragraph was a mess. The point is, every option can potentially be covered after a s.MP, it just takes the right read and a fair bit of luck. Try not to stick with that string, Seventy, and start hit-confirming with c.LP, s.LP, or plain s.MP. Even if you’re not consistent, keep at it, and most of all, try it with the conviction that you’ll land it. Believe in yourself. I’ve won matches with a 1-frame link that I know I would have lost to an SRK if I had dropped it, but I believed in myself at those times and it paid off.

If you do not believe in yourself, believe in Makoto believing in you and all 1 frame links shall be easy.

i just wanted to tell that this user: YouTube - SMOAI2010’s Channel
has uploaded the entire NSB tournament (unfortunately with bad quality) in normal lengths (~10min) so you can check in that channel for quick research. And there is a thread which shows brackets, player lists and all: [ http://shoryuken.com/f315/nsb-online-256024/index2.html ]
Message me on XBL and I’ll record some vids for you. Here’s the quality:

FA crumple, strong hayate, fukiage. im loving this fukiage buff even more now. i thought you can only fukiage off hayate(corner) if it was ex or off of a double FA crumple(or char specific).

Any reason you decided to end some of your corner stun combos with LPs into LP Hayate?
And purely out of curiosity, do you do the Fukikusa when you dash up and Karakusa?

I do want to know that too.
Trying to go for a reset? Better positioning/mixup after the lp hayate?
s.mp > HC > s.lp > s.mp > HC > cr.lk > HC > cr.mp > HC > kara kara.
Very sexy stuff. Of course not really a good call vs. characters with a DP move, but he’s looking for counter hits/setting up that karakusa against abel.
you guys watch desk’s video on makoto and viper? it was on the front page a couple days ago. anyway he did c. lp, c. lp, s. lp, c.hp. is that gen specific? he also did c.lp, c. lp. s. lp, ultra 1.
