If anything it was ryan hart being free to the throw bait on wake up. I counted 1 time he didnt fall for it. Dude looked like he was going to break down after the one stun in gf. Was something wrong with your stick tho? A lot of weird misses.

Need your advice on this match. Yes, my intermediate to advanced gameplay is not on display here, but this is generally how I play Dhalsim even without the ring rust. Please be brutal as necessary at telling me what I’m doing wrong vs Dhalsim and what I should be doing instead. He and Sagat are my two nightmare matchups.

This match, on the other hand, is a winning effort but I’m still not satisfied with my reflexes. This is what I get for playing Diablo 3 like a mindless zombie.
I’m working on pure crutch memory at this point. You’d probably notice that I have only one safe jump setup, i.e., EX Oroshi, whiff HK, nj MK.
Also, in round 2 of the Blanka match, what should I do sgainst crossup U1? I normally U2 that, but I clearly didn’t have that option at the time.
You need to punish ex upball way harder. You did f.strong after baiting it? Dash up and do a full combo, hell I bet you can axekick it.
In that situation where the ultra isn’t hitting you meaty you can lp up punch. If you know it’s going to crossup you can always just block too and get a punish especially that close to the corner.
You let that sim press way to many buttons. Make him scared to press a button just like any other character. He can hit you from across the screen pressing buttons? You can hit him back. Do this till he tries to trap you with fire and hp. Then slowly inch him to the corner. Match set. He try’s to get out with teleport stuff his recovery. He’s beside you and he dies. He doesnt then he’s stuck in the corner and he dies lol. I seen you remembered a little to late that his yoga sniper can be punished. Also you try to bulldog your way in to much. Explosive patience is the name of makotos game lol.
In a non-ambiguous crossup situation, I always hit Blanka’s ultra 1 with Fukiage. It was the wakeup one that confused me, since I had no idea how to block and Ultra 2 wasn’t available to me.
@Kaiten: more standing MP’s, I presume? That seemed to be the only normal getting me anywhere throughout the match. I know someone mentioned c.LK, but I haven’t reslly benefitted from that at all.
Cr.lk destroys his lk/c.lp but yes hit those limbs with mp. Or if your feeling riskay hk.
I need to practice a lot more. I mean, I’m getting back my blockakusa games (Still can’t do the f+LK Kara Kara, I only do the HCB,F one and the whiffed LK.) and the crossunders here and there, but Dhalsim really makes me play stupid.
You mentioned that I cover ground when he starts chipping with fireball + HP. What’s your best method for covering ground? Obviously, dashing willy-nilly gets stuffed, and jumping in is a raw deal in Dhalsim’s favor more often than not.
Yes, I go stupid against Dhalsim. Ask me what my options are versus nearly everyone else, and I can tell you, but I’m just so disheartened against the Indian dude that none of the materials here stick unless I see them coupled with video examples.
Just walk forward in between lol. His limbs don’t chip and his fireball does shit all for chip do take it like a spartan. If you feel you see a gap that u can jump in on without being aa’d do it. You return any chip/stray hit he does to u in spades once your in

And yeah, i missed jumpHK > ultra (she did dash, lol), ultra punish after uppercut (she did focus lvl1…), and had problems with post karakusa combos (maybe stress).
