Is there a video/ can some one post a multi game video that verifies Mossads claim (which I have no choice but to believe) tha the boxer match up is 6-4 in our favor. Im having the toughest time. Met 3 online in the last 2 days and I couldnt beat any of them. Help a brother out

I have big trouble in that matchup as well, I don’t see how to pock / zone safely againt him, it seems you really have to take big risk to get on him

You guys got to be more patient. All XUs work on Rog. Meaty c.LK beats/makes whiff/allows mak to block all of his reversal options. depending on the rush punch, you can normal throw or Focus crumple them. MP oroshi beats all non ex options on wakeup. You just have to be patient and remember that there are 99 seconds guys. Stop rushing in so much. rememer fools rush in. Patient Makoto is much, much more deadly. Wait for that knock down and go to town with meaties XU Tsurugis.
Also please note that my claim that this match is 6-4 doesn’t make the matchup easy. It just means that IMO, Makoto’s attributes are better than his. That’s just my opinion. Also, I made that claim in AE… not sure what has changed for Rog in 2012. After some more experience with him i’ll reevaluate my stance. But i know i’ve had trouble with very few rogs since even AE.

I love playing against this guy. He may be below my level but I consider is a great warm up. I can use experimental stuff or practice distances, or whatever against a moving thinking target. And he is Always willing to play! If you dont have someone like this…get one!!

Ha, I play Eric all the time, he beats me occasionally cause he’s so damn random! His basic mix-up is…am I going for a throw or an SRK? He’s a cool guy too, he plays a ton and I believe he’s trying to create more of a community for PC players. Ha, his mindset reminds me of the days of clans in FPSes.

Nice move by Uryo, blocking safe jump HK with back + almost reversal HP. Blocks safe jump and beats delayed Tsurugi (which is really, really effective against Sakura, she can’t mash anything except her AA U2 against it).
seems like he could have taken a few rounds from bonchan when he got the stun had he not gone for the mixup instead of damage…i don’t know, what do u guys think?
Hmm, the first and the third times, I don’t think so. No matter how much meter he put in, he couldn’t have killed him. I’ve been concentrating on this a lot recently, and it’s not really a matter of damage as it is the amount of guesses needed after. If Haitani had done full damage on stun 1 and stun 3, he still would have had to have guessed one more time to kill him, so why waste meter?
Stun 2 seems closer, but it’s the same situation. 3 hits prior + FA = 5 hits. U2 would have done 30% damage, in this case, a little over 100 damage because the gauge wasn’t full, then the follow-up Fukiage would have done 18 damage, then the follow-up EX Tsurugi would have done 16 damage - and all this would be under an additional 75% reduction due to low health. By the look of it, Sagat had about 150 life left, so there’s no way it would have killed him.
Yeah that was the biggest thing I noticed, he didn’t go for the kill a few times. But it looks like he was trying some new stuff. Here’s a couple of notes:
-He almost always uses LK Tsurugi as a short jump when hopping over projectiles. Obviously this is done to bait fireballs. I yeah that souneed to use this more…
-SETUP - Safe jump of FA3, delayed HP Oroshi (for air hit… more recovery), dash x2, j.MK. What kind of safe jump is this?
-SETUP - EX Hayate (to corner), dash x2, s.LP whiff (due to back dash), Karakusa. I’m guessing MK or HK? ideas?
-SETUP - Hayate, f.LP OS Dash>Blockakusa? He did karakusa, but if Bonchan did jump it would’v caught I’ve seen Haitani do c.LK after the f.LP so maybe its an option in case of CH fLP since it combos… Wonder how well this works on other characters
-SETUP - Back trow, sMP Whiff, Neutral jump MK safe jump. Can land HK karakusa on blocked jMK. What kind of safe jump is this?
-He had Sag in the corner, and was just outside sag’s c.MK range, and threw out a bunch of c.MPs to look for a counter hit. Once, he didn’t throw one out, and whiff punished c.MK with Dash>Karakusa. Smoooooove shit.
-End of game 4 was siiiiiiiick
-Loved the pressure in game 5 round 1. the sequence was genius. Espeically loved the dash forward s.LP>HK Karakusa at the end
-Looks like everytime he does a blocked HK Tsurugi, Bonchan was trying to throw and got hit with c.LK (crouch tech) a lot since the throw woudln’t reach. I think it would be good to try this out on all characters.

I tried this out in training mode, the sj is off a delayed lp oroshi. I still don’t understand his reasoning for this though, he could have just went for raw damage
I like this, since fwd dash neutral jump attack whiffs on Sagatto it gives us another option against him when we’re sick of doing x-up tsurugi on him.
Oh and Haitani is an absolute beast with c.mp, when he was down here for SS2k11 he was fucking so many of us up with a well spaced cr.mp.
