I just picked up AE after selling all of my game stuff about 9 months back, so I’m pretty rusty. I play Dan, Yang, Adon, Fei, Dudley, Makoto in rotation, all to varying degrees of terrible.

Now do you mean Thursday or Friday? Says you posted at 4:45 am Thursday so I’m not sure if you meant Thursday before work or Friday. Anyways our best bet will be 1am on either day if I’m on. That will be 3am ish for me though so not sure if I will be on that late but maybe. I do have a funeral to attend on Friday and have to be up kind of early to make the trip to be there on time.

Yeah ggs. Thanks for the beatings. Your rushdown was way too much for me. Even when I knew the spaces to try and break I just couldn’t get the right move in between. I’d love to hear some of your set ups and how you set them up. That would be great.
I remember being choked several times with blocked s.mp x 2 into kara-kara. It will be a while before I can do that though. I can kara-kara in training mode about 80% of the time but usually can’t pull it off in matches. I even tried a kara-kara in one of our matches last night and I think I got a j.lk lol.
You were also hitting a meaty mp oroshi, s.mp (I think), ex oroshi. I would like to hear your set up for that. I’ve been trying to practice more meaty setups in training but I have a hard time with the setups that are perfectly meaty.
Anyways any advice, setups, etc… would be great.
Yeah ggs. We def need to do some more soon. I need more Makoto practice and I’ve decided to pick up Cody as well and just work on the two. So I have an ultra noob Cody that I would like to get some games in with. Make sure you add kaze_kami (psn: SpamNeggs). He is really good.

Do you have any messagers or XBL Facture? Like to hit it with you again since my problem’s are my defense game, mental pressure, and doesn’t help I’m a bit of short fuse. But had to mention that since I do have alot of games on my plate that my attention span goes from one to the next, so you’re gonna have to PM me.
I don’t have xbl and it has been a long long time since I had any messengers but if there is a certain one you use I could shoot you a pm once I’m going to get on from my study before I head into the living room to play.
off a back throw or EX oroshi: dash, d.mk, m. oroshi. the timing is different in AE. it used to be alot easier in super…but that makoto had to work for scraps.
kara kara is practice…it’ll come. some of the more common setups are s.mpx2 kara kara,
d.mp., hatate cancel, kara kara.
f+mp, f+lp, kara kara,
EX oroshi, dash, f+fk to corpse hop, kara kara.
and d.lp, s.lp, s.mp, kara kara.
all of these setups require you to train your oppoent to block. so it can be hard to setup at times. but if you punish enough jump backs and backdashes they’ll keep still.
also the makoto community is one of the best character communities on srk. dont be afraid to look at the stickies and ask questions, no one here is stingy with information. they and i will help you with anything you need to know.

Looking for a sensei to teach me how to play makoto. I guess, I should just say teach me how to play in general since im a beginner.
