Making "Lets Play" videos...any tips?

People call me a hipster because of it, but I did stuff like this before I knew it was a thing, then I stopped and came back to it and described to people what it was I used to do and they told me “oh so it’s a let’s play” and all that name brings to mind is shitty videos of 14 year olds with an emulator (mind you when I started I wasn’t much further off).

I’m not looking to hijack this, but someone tell me if my shit is ok. I have a ton of fun making this, it takes a lot of effort, I spent a lot of money getting it all in HD (or in the case of some games 480p). I get a lot of good feedback, I just don’t have a huge audience.

OP go check out veteran LP people like SlimKirby and ShadowMario41. They are the ONLY LP guys I’m still subscribed to. They do a good balance of gameplay+commentary.

alot of my lets play videos features funny topics, sending good messages out to the people and we usually focus on certain things as if we were in a movie sometimes for a second we push the camera over to the players and we would hav cosplays of the characters of the game we play and we throw little contests out as well for the enjoyment of others
