Mains - Who and why?

I’m sticking with Ryu until Balrog comes out. I hope I feel at home with him and he’s somewhat similar to SF4. I really hope he’s charge.

I picked Ryu just because of familiarity, and then I actually like how he plays like a tank in this game. Also with the rollback netcode instead of the shit input based stuff in SF4, it’s actually easy to react to jump ins and DP them. I am still amazed at how many people will jump at Ryu when he’s standing still.

Ryu. Parries.
Waiting for Alex and Urien.

I picked Birdie because I was hooked the day I saw him use Ryu as a jump rope. i am going to try Alex when he drops but I think it will be safe to say I’ll be maining Balrog when he’s availiable. I tend to play straightforward bruising characters and grapplers anyways.

Cammy - been casually playing Cammy since Hyper Street Fighter 2, and if I’m going to learn this game on a more technical level, I feel I should initially do it with someone who feels familiar to me.

Plus I love her specials, and use all of them frequently. She just feels right to me.

Curious about R. Mika, and will also give Juri a try when she comes, but want to gain a more solid foundation before I start confusing myself with new characters.

Tier whore! Be honorable and stick with a character no matter how bad they are compared to the rest of the cast! If you had any real skill you’d find a way to make the character work you fraud! HMPFH!

Sadly due to moving to New Mexico recently. I’m broke and have yet to buy a PS4 and SFV. But once I get paid from my new job on the 11th. I’m gonna be all over this game. I’m probably looking to main either Chun-Li, karin, Mika, or Ryu. Ryu’s looking to be the front runner because that parry can create those hype moments just like from third strike.

I was thinking the same thing about Gief and F.A.N.G until I started to get better fundamentally. It’s about finding what works with your character of choice.

Jesus man seems like you really hit rock bottom dude. Hope shit gets better

That’s so weak dude. Stick with your guy. I did. It gets better bro don’t be a tier whore

>Ryu.
>tried karin, too “hard” for my body (newbie inside)
>waiting for juri

I use Ryu, because I honestly think he’s top 5. The man hits like a truck.

LOL nah I’m good bro. Great even. I moved out here to New Mexico from Atlanta GA for a job at the Air Force base as a Aircraft mechanic. I now got my own car, my own home and I’m gonna be making bank! I’m officially grown man status now lol. I just gotta get through the first two weeks till I start getting checks. So I’ll only be struggling for 2 weeks. Once them checks start rolling in, I’m good.

Cammy - Has been my main throughout SFIV. I feel she is worth holding on to in the early weeks/months of the game for learning purposes.

R. Mika - Seems like a fun character to learn and I believe grappling skills will be essential as the game progresses.

Oh ok that’s good to know, I’m glad you’ll be doing better.

Cheers

I have been maining Cammy for the most part along with F.A.N.G, she’s a mix up whirlwind.

Chun-Li - seemed like a good start to get used to the new systems. Also, the pre-order costume.

Zangief - whenever I feel like dishing out some major damage with muscle power. I’ve always loved grapplers as secondaries and I think SFV Gief is one of the most fun grapplers in quite some time.

Cammy, who was my main in SFIV since unfortunately doesn’t feel as satisfying anymore. Maybe I just miss the Cannon Strike gimmicks.

Only using Ken so far. I’m just jumping in with SFV, and he seems like a good starting main. The more I play him though, I love his move set and offensive style that suits it.

Ryu, because I’m trying to get the basics down, and Ryu is Street Fighter. Rashid is pretty appealing to me though, may give him a go.

Laura, been playing her since day 2. Like her design and this is my first time playing a command grab type of character so it was refreshing. Plus…you know…TITTIES

What is Hokage?
