Ryu because every time I parry something I can feel my self worth rising.
Also Cammy, because she’s simple and efficient.
After the last beta I was sure to main Laura, but started playing Chun ( just because I liked her preorder outfit) and have been using only her so far.
Charlie Nash, cuz he is badass.
Chun because she’s sexy.
Cammy.
Because there’s no real rekka character in the game so I have to settle for a basic pokes n’ strings character. Cammy is a lot easier to pick up than Chun-Li in this game, but I think Chun is better over all (so far).
Vega. He and Guile are my main/sub in every SF I play. I’ll probably pick Guile up too when he comes out.
Vega’s not nearly as easy for me to use in this game though, surprisingly.
Bison because he has the Slayer dash
Rashid because why not.
Started with Laura because she’s Sean’s sister, who I mained in SF3; but I couldn’t get a handle on her kit; so I switched to Nash, who I just about jizzed myself over when I saw his first reveal trailer.
R.Mika, because i wanted a change of paced from Ryu, now im getting bodied more then before on SFV4

I’m going to stick with F.A.N.G and I need some serious help, I lost some matches online due to my skill or lack thereof. Need to practice frame traps and footsies more
I also only started playing at the end of SFIV, So I have been continuing with Ryu…
However, HE IS SO DAMN PAINFUL TO PLAY WITH in this game, IMO.
He is Slow, Forget about his cr.mk, and it feels like damn near everything is NOT safe with him.
He has big damage, but how to you get it, you risk Whiffing.
Its annoying.
I might Try out Chun.

Started with Gief.
I used to play Ken, and a little Gief back in Super days. Have not played in years and starting with Gief slow pace and lack of combos seemed the best way to re introduce myself and get used to the stick again.
Turns out he is hard as nails and people that say he is low tier are wrong.
I’m still in the process of going around the world in SFV. Each day I’ve devoted to a different character. Due to time restrictions, I’ve only gotten through a few… (Ryu, Cammy, Bison, Dhalsim, Laura, Rashid, Karin)
My Laura and Rashid had the highest initial success rate. Had a long win streak with Rashid after I got used to him, and Laura seems to be my most consistent character. I suspect I will main one of them, but I’m not sure yet.
When I’m done going around, I’ll give my thoughts on everyone somewhere. Win or lose, I think it’s a good experience regardless. I recommend it to everyone out there, character loyalists or no.

Seriously, though, I love his SF3-esque plain ol’ weirdness and just need to Git Gud, I imagine.
Birdie since I feel he’s the only character I’m consistent with. I used to use Vega during the betas but I’ve lost my touch with him. I’m learning Gief and Necalli at the moment as well.
F.A.N.G is an acquired taste definitely and I am glad that I picked him up, but my game is so bad I make him look terrible. He’s a great addition just has a steep learning curve.
