Actually, I had seen that video, but deleted it a long time ago. Anyway, yeah, it is JWong, so you know he’s gonna be blocking everything. :lol: Hmm, if I’m correct, I think Justin just went right through X’s team Matrix but had some trouble with his Santhrax. Storm/Capcom is too random. I think Justin’s Magneto got tagged a few times by Capcom, so that goes to show how good Santhrax and its chemistry can be. Oh yeah, too many HG XX Tempests in these matches… :lol:

And Soo’s Santhrax is pretty damn good, too.
Don’t get me wrong, though. Magneto-based teams are probably my favorite teams.

I swear, some of you idiots have forgotten how to play fighting games, and can only play Mash-on-Psylocke-Button fighter now.
It always helps to have a strong ground assits plus high hitting anti air when fighting Mag to stop both his methods of rushing in. Best example of this is Team Rush (M/S/P) vs Team Watts (BH/Sent/Cap). Match is Definately in Team Watts favor since Mag cant even get close to BH with his demons spewing plus sent drones or captin corridor in his face. As an alternative, Sent could start and would probably rape Mag just as much since BH’s inferno can hit mag from far away, and Capcom could get him up close while sent is stomping on his head. Thats how you kill a god.

Mag vs Storm is in Storms favor, but it’s not unwinnable. Though it’s true if you follow a brain-dead gameplan you’ll eat a roundhouse, everytime, all the time.
If Mag dashes in and Storm throws a s.roundhouse and Mag blocks it, Storm is fucked. The lag on that allows Mag to run in again and catch her while she’s retracting her foot.
Crouching roundhouse has more horizontal range/priority, but you can tri jump right over it. Pretty heavy lag on that too.
C.fierce is different. It lacks horizontal range but it has a lot of vertical prority. If you block it, I think it’s fast enough that she’ll be blocking/in the air/attacking again once you’re out of block stun, even if you blocked it while on the ground. Btw, this move is fast as fuck and will probably catch your ass while you’re trijumping at her.
Storm has the advatage 1 on 1 because Mag has no solid way to catch her. HyperGravs can be seen and heard easily. You can try to tag her with a fireball, or try some weaksauce chip with it, but one blocked hail will set you back. He can’t chip her worth shit. 1 on 1, out of the top tier, Storm gives him the most trouble. Fuck the robot and the guy with the gun.

I’ve been out of the MvC2 loop for a while, I’ll admit some [or maybe all] of my observations may be incorrect.
This is all dependent on the guys holding the joysticks and how well they play mag or storm.
Storm in my opinion DOES own magneto 1 on 1, but it’s not impossible for Mag to beat her. I think the difference being, storm can use the same tactics solo as she can with assists, whilst Magneto can not.
mags owns sent
storm has no bad matchups
sent’s only counter is cable
mags owns cable
mags worst matchup is storm
storms solo “supposed ugly” matchup is sent/AAA
cable needs capcom to fight any of the three above him
mags does not need psy to fight either of the two above him

Hell no ! Sent’s frying pan stops anything . If your timing is good enough you can stop a storm lighting attack .
I’ve always thought it was kind of circular as to which God tier character has advantage over another.
This is how I look at it. These are taking into consideration that both players are on the same level.
Mag beats Cable
Sentinel beats Magneto
Cable beats Sentinel
Storm can beat all three.
u sure that storm can beat mag. IMO mag will rape storm with speed. Magneto is faster and his attack is alot stronger than storm. His reset is fast enough to make true storm player flinch and mag doesn’t suffer infinite from storm because storm doesn’t have a rom inf.
she only have a ground inf. And IN that case mag will never be hit he’ll alway dash everywhere. Leaving storm little few option to do anything. She’ll have a hard time running away because mag is alway in front of her leaving her in block stun.
Ax any MSP OR MSS player who is alot better storm or mag.
I’m pretty sure the majority will rate magneto better
Magneto is God
Storm outprioritizes Mag on just about everything. A smart Storm player realizes this and will and always try to counteract Mag’s rushdown with a high priority move. Nowadays, it seems like Mag wins vs. Storm due to Mag always having a high priority assist to start stuff up for him. One on one, Storm beats Mag; but if they both have the same assist (i.e. Psylocke) Then Mag beats Storm. He just needs a little more priority then what he’s naturally equipped with so he can just get in there.
I agree that mag is god over storm because i’m a msp player…but hoov-man got a point on assist type.
