let me make this clear… if you like halo or COD dont bother posting your opinion in here, also saying the game sucks and the controls are unresponsive is kinda sad, you havent had enough time to tell if it sucks and the default controls are not sensitive enough just go change em. I thought the recoil was 2 high on all the guns until i started getting foregrips.
this is a game made for people coming from Socom and its a epic sucess for those of us who are.
I don’t think anyone wants to be talking about Halo in the PSN forums lol, no one said that this game is shit. Like you said this is made for people coming from the Socom games. But most of the people who played FPS have never played Socom which is a totally different type of game since it was 3PS, which is why I said in my other post that I changed the default 30 setting to 70-80 speeds. New players will obviously not think to know that, thats why I mentioned it. People will also be turned away from this game because it is nothing like COD and thank god nothing like Halo. Just giving a heads up on what to expect from this game. I can still say the aiming and controls are sluggish. ESPECIALLY when your scoping and strafing left and right, 1 slight move the cross hairs can’t get a precise mark on target which is a definite problem and surprised to see how that is compared to previous Socom titles.
PS: I doubt that anyone here has much more experience than me when it comes to the Socom series, and what to expect from Zipper games. Socom 1(sup:frostfire), 2(esc:foxhunt/ter), 3 & Combined Assault (sup:harvester/ter-no snipe/boom). (Confrontation is not Zipper). Hence my gamer tag was The-Pain-S2 through S2 and The-Pain-S3 onwards till now.

i agree that in socom sniping felt much cleaner if that makes sense… i just have alot of faith in zipper to fix some of these issues and make this game a success. I really like the concept and i agree somethings need to be fixed but this is a once in a blue moon perfect storm for gamers, its a great company, a company that supports there games thoroughly after release, and a very awesome concept.
that being said i personally am loving this game soley because of how detrimental teamwork is… i still need to fill out my squad so if your starting out sver and have some socom experience or are willing to listen in a team please hit me up.

I’m surprised people said the aiming was bad… I thought it was too easy lol. The beta was fun and I joined S.V.E.R. I would get it, but it depends on how many people actually get it and stick with it.
You know that’s funny because I was thinking the same thing. I’ve had a lot of fun since playing on S.V.E.R last night and thought that the aiming was fine. Gotta admit that I’ve really enjoyed taking a more realistic approach towards playing this game than any other and it seems to be working out just fine. Playing cautiously = FTW! 
Man, when I was checking out the player count on a couple of the maps, everyone seems to have gone SVER or Valor. The player counts when I was playing was 1500 sver, 1300 valor, 1000 raven, so i joined raven.
Also, anyone have trouble with their mics? I cranked sensitivity all the way on the ps3 and in-game, and I wouldn’t transmit until I was pretty much yelling. The mic pick up is fine on my PC.
thats really weird what type of headset are you using?
Oh and later at night SVER is usually outnumbered by valor.
Logitech ClearChat Pro USB Circumaural Headset
Not sure if this is the exact headset, but it looks the same, and I have had the headset I’m using for at least 3 years without any problems. I’ve used it before in the PSN bomberman and it worked fine, it receives fine, and for MAG I can transmit except I have to yell or make out with the mic.
i think ive got the same headset, sometimes i have to jiggle it in the USB port in order for it to work properly, also try switching its usb port… that might help.

I never really liked COD games, but I enjoyed the Battlefield 2 a lot back when I played it. Someone said earlier that an individual’s skill won’t make that much of a difference and that teamwork is top priority. I like this… but there’s only one thing that could possibly make me not want to play the game…
How are the controls? A lot of the reason I never liked FPS’s was because I’m HORRIBLE with a pad and aiming… is there any auto-follow (scrub friendly) feature? I think most console FPS’s have adopted this to some extent, but I want to make sure before I go out and spend my money.
