MadCatz hasn’t been like this for over half a decade now. And they’ve been spending more than ever on making their products better. The problem is that we got idiots like po here who can’t get past their past reputation.

Of course, it doesn’t help that MadCatz isn’t going the lazy Hori route and simply rehashing their cases/designs for succeeding generations. They put out 4 distinct form factors of arcade sticks in 1 generation along, compare with Hori who reused 1 form factor, while introducing 2, 1 of which was going to end up being continued into the next generation.

What most fools don’t know is that builders barely make a buck out of customs. With quality sticks now more easily available, many custom builders have been able to actually emphasize the “custom” part of their sticks and market them as something above the off the shelf stuff and charge more for their stuff (and therefore actually make some money).

Are you defending them because they got philippinos working there of what? Their pads break in couple months time, his the fucj is that good quality. Their sticks use QC failed sanwa parts not even close to being as good as real sanwas. Fuck mc.

Dude, the Mayflash V2, was a fantastic deal at $60, now one struggles to find them at all for less than $100. Beyond a certain price threshold, the value disappears, as you’re looking at about another $50 to replace the parts with Sanwa/Seimitsu. And the V2 hasn’t even been on the market long enough to see how well their pcb holds up. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you picked one up at a great price, it was a total steal back then- but Hori and Madcatz sticks that come stock with good parts are hardly overpriced or junk.

I have bought Sanwa buttons from multiple sources, none of them have felt or responded any different from the Sanwas that came in a TE-S I own. What exactly are you basing this theory on? What specific part are you calling into question, the molded plastic rim/plunger or the microswitches?

I’ve had most TEs since the very first one, all the buttons are great. I never felt any difference when I switch buttons out for different colors. My original TE still going strong.
