My status says pending, but for some reason I got a call from a MadCatz person today. Left me a voicemail. I wonder why…

Same here. The money was being held in my account as pending and now it’s not there and the money is back into my account but I’m sure they did this to ensure the pre-orders go to people who actually had the funds. The status on the MadCatz website changed from Pending to In Process Tuesday and has been that way ever since. I also have to eat my words as I’m surprised these didn’t go as fast I thought they would and they still have them available for purchase.
I think they should be given that Mark has made it clear that this were an extremely limited run of 300 for each system.
Is anyone else having trouble contacting Madcatz? I’ve emailed them and tried calling them but I’ve heard no reply whatsoever. I’ve been trying to contact them over the last week, to no avail.
Is the Canadian version just down or something? This is pretty frustrating…
What you mean by down? My order has been in progress since Mon/Tuesday, but since no one has said theirs has shipped yet i’m not worried.
I know the Canadian store still shows the sticks in pre-order, while the US has it as Purchase now.
I’ve been able to order but I was trying to contact them about the EVOSTICK promotion to no avail.
It’s one thing to be told that I can’t change my order but I can’t even get through.
This is the most frustration I’ve ever had just trying to order something. Even if nobody’s stick has shipped yet, Markman said they would ship on tuesday and now here we are.
Either the availability of the EVO stick is a mistake on Madcatz part, or I feel that most people have little interest in buying anything at the moment. It’s way harder to sell sticks on SRK than before all the sales, and this thread has pretty much the same people reposting.
If you go back to page 2 or 3 of this topic, I tried contacting them as well because I didn’t put in the coupon code “EVOSTICK” and asked to see if they could still apply it but their response was they couldn’t. I was instructed to cancel my order and re-order. At the time I was a bit skeptical as it was Friday morning and I was under the impression that they would sell out fast so I didn’t want to cancel. MarkMan also replied saying that if you didn’t put the coupon code in, you wouldn’t be able to get the bag free.
Also, I did send them an email through the store and opened a ticket but haven’t heard anything back. I did these just in case that same day so it’s been about a week without an answer. If you can, try giving them a call instead. That’s what I did.
Actually, He said they’d be shipping on Wednesday, and its only Thursday.
Trust in Markman. Otherwise, cancel and move on…
Really tempted to blow a good chunk of my paycheck on this bad boy…But hearing all the bad things so far i’m not sure if I want to do that now…
Yeah, I saw that, which is why I tried calling as well on top of my emails. However, I can’t get through and it seems like I’ve been put on hold for about a week, no matter when I call. I would just have my headset on in the morning at work and just wait but I would just keep getting that message about a high call volume (and I’d end up waiting for like…4 hours). I would have canceled already but as soon as I put my order in, it was already in progress; I haven’t had a chance to even cancel online.
Don’t confuse people complaining about shipping to negative things about the stick. The true underlying case here is that people want their stick already and are impatient. I’ll admit I’m among those people as well but I’m not talking bad about MadCatz, the stick or MarkMan. Even though he did say it was to ship on Tuesday or Wednesday, he can’t control everything that happens at MadCatz even though we know him as the face of MadCatz and their arcade sticks.
I see what you mean. Here’s to them still being available on the 23rd! Damn paycheck taking a week to deposit…
Don’t see what the big deal is, if you were fortunate enough to even be able to place the order thats all that matters to me, the stick can come whenever. I know it will show up eventually 
I know mine still says “In Progress” on the MadCatz site, but it showed up by Fedex this morning. I imagine some of your orders may also be on the way; the website might just be a bit slower.
