Just an FYI, I ended up opening the sucker and my green A button was a MadCatz button.
Its was cool when I found sanwa microswitches in my brawlsticks. Sucks when others find madcatz buttons in their evo sticks.
Yeah, that sucks indeed. We’re investigating it but if anyone has an issue we will take care of it fully.
I don’t blame you, Markman… This is something going on at the factory that assembles the joysticks. Not your department. MC’s overseas reps have to keep a closer eye on the factories.
Smells fishy. Maybe a floor manager is doing something on the side. These are obviously not the buttons intended to go into the joysticks.
This kind of thing is another example of why we should bring manufacturing back to the US. (It’d be easier to maintain QA/QC if more things were actually made in the US.) How to do that AND be sure that people can make living wages AND our country can still be competitive on the international market is another thing… I’d say a bit more, but this already dangerously close to political.
I just got one this week, ordered last Friday, got it Tuesday with the MCZ on it not a number.
Its about time I reveal my Evo TE mod since I doubt I’ll be doing much else to it. I present the Multi-Console Evo Netbook Stick.
Yes, that is right. That is a netbook inside the Evo stick. During the flight to Las Vegas for Evo, my netbook’s screen cracked. Being as I NEED a computer to test the sticks I mod at tournaments I had to go out and buy a new netbook in Vegas right before Evo started. So when I got back home I was thinking what could I do with my netbook with the cracked screen. Since it still worked fine if I connected it to an external monitor, I figured I could stuff it in my Evo stick and have a portable mame setup.
The vga cable is stuffed in the cord compartment along with a usb hub (to connect a mouse/keyboard/extra sticks) and a switch to switch the stick to work for the netbook or as a normal stick to play on ps3/360.
Power jack is in the back of the stick. Had troubles trying to fit the netbook’s battery in the stick
I’m also thinking about playing around with one of those small android computers and putting them in a stick.

I think you’ve just won the Evo Stick modding contest. Sadly, I don’t think that there is a prize for this, so all you can do is proclaim that you were the first one to do such a mod. Oh yeah, you can also show off the stick, so there’s a prize in that, I guess. You can display it at your booth, I’m sure that would draw in attention.
Next you should stick a universal dremel tool.
Well… that escalated quickly.
For some reason. Gummo reminds me of Clint from the Freddiew videos.
Looks to me like the next logical progression is for someone to add a Raspberry Pi to their joystick.
Next time add a Thinkpad X230 motherboard in there.
So I finally got my Green Sanwa button from Madcatz, and look at what they sent me!

I’ll never be short a green button again! THANKS GUYS!
We try to make things right <3
Can I have the lone pink one?
I think Madcatz needs to make an all Pink Special Edition stick to support Breast Cancer… just sayin… good idea, good PR
That’s great you got replacement buttons for your green “sanwa” one. All I got was a 3 week wait for a response that basically thanked me for fixing my own stick.
Are these all completely gone now? I cant find a PS3 one for sale anywhere
We saved 20 of each for EVO 2013. If you want one, that will be the ONLY place you can get one.
