Since you have to pay for shipping and possibly even tax, there’s not a whole lot to be made by flipping these. It’s a good deal if you want a stick, though.
Nooooo! I thought we had till the end of the 17th to buy this? I had everything set up fine before midnight and then I did some extra research to make sure the PS3 version of the stick would work on a PC and what I would need to get different art on this and now it’s past midnight it’s saying the code is invalid… ;-;

So just to update people on my situation, I called Mad Catz up today because the site promised to ship out in 1-2 business days and my order was still listed as “in progress” (ie not shipped) even though I put the order in saturday at 2 in the morning. Turns out that the stick DID actually ship yesterday, it’s just that their website is usually slow to update your information. Looks like Mad Catz does stick by their word and ship out in the 1-2 business days they promised! Got a tracking # and right now my stick’s in CA, and it’s estimated to arrive the 23rd (I live near Philly). If your stick still hasn’t seemed to ship yet and you ordered over 2 business days ago, don’t worry it’s probably actually shipped the website just hasn’t updated yet!

Just got it in the mail today and I’m absolutely in love with it. It’s my first fightstick and she’s a real beauty. Couple of questions. I see that the button layout is slightly different from the standard street fighter TE layout. If i were to get a different face plate (not sure what the proper term is), would it conform to the SF button layout? Are most of the parts interchangeable with the regular SF TE’s? I’m not sure if I’d ever do such a thing, but was wondering if it were an option.
edit: reading back through the thread it seems that it’s possible to get a replacement metal plate and plexi for this thing. where would i find such parts online (not sure what to google here)?

I’m talking about the shape if the button layout. If I were to find a metal cover from another te/te-s, would it fit on the top if this thing? I assume that the arrangement if the buttons is a simple matter of switching the buttons and connectors. Is there a store where I can pick up a replacement metal cover? It doesn’t need to be custom. I’m just not sure if the street fighter metal covers would fit around the turbo plate and stuff. Thx

Unless you find someone selling the metal panel from a Vewlix-esque layout stick, you’re going to have to go custom like jdm said.
As far as fitting, it would fit just fine.
Now that I’m thinking of it, I have the metal panel and art from a Ryu TE-S (exactly what you’re looking for) just sitting on a shelf collecting dust… but since we’re outside of the trade/sell, I can’t say any more about it.
