At the last Magfest the 3 most played games where 3s-T5-GG. Everybody didnt want to play marvel b/c Jwong was crushing folks…But for some odd reason GG had a large group of ppl. Better yet i just say throw a tourny in Kof11 everybody knows how 2 play that.
Yo, some random dude invited me to magfest on facebook…who the hell are you?
Wow, a major event going on when I’m actually going to be fucking home.
Renegade, let me know what you need from me for this.
Edit: I can’t remember if I paid for this while at Otakon or not this year. I swear I did, but honestly it is eluding to me as to whether I have or not. Is there a way to check?
Folks just a heads up – my company, JC Media & Entertainment, and E-Sports Services are going to be hosting a fully sponsored LAN tournament. Email me with questions.
MAGFest has some extra pros (you can email them with specific questions) coming down to run LAN tournaments in an additional room, and they are bringing machines to play on. When no tournaments are going, the PCs will be available for open gaming. We’re also getting some pretty awesome prize hookups from PNY Technologies (they do gamer RAM kits, nVIDIA videocards, flash memory) who stepped up in a big way to support the LAN. There will also be other contests that anyone can participate in and win!
Tournaments run will include Counter-Strike: Source, Age of Empires 3: WarChiefs, WarCraft 3: Frozen Throne, Quake 4, Unreal Tournament 2004 and Half-Life 2 Death Match. Don’t forget to pre-register to guarantee you’ll be able to participate. Just use the regular prereg page, and if you are coming specifically for these, put ESPORTS in the “how did you hear about MAGFest?” blank. They will be working tournaments on a first-registered, first-come basis, and are expected to fill up fast. Keep an eye on this thread for additional details.
We’d also like to welcome two new film guests. The first is Main Moon Productions - they’ll be showing their new flick, Bizarre Love Triangle at the fest, which has music by our dear friend Shael Riley, as well as another movie called The Looney Norman Bigfish Movie. Both have a ton of videogame references that you guys are sure to love.
Also, adding to our traditional “bunch of dudes” lineup is Fargate Productions, the glorious by-product of five friends with a near obsessive devotion to video games. Their current projects include various anime/gaming convention documentaries, as well as some short films based on a select few video games (Ex: Pitfall).
All of these guys will be at our filmmakers panel, along with X-Strike who will be back with DVDs of Project: SNAKE and for the first time will show the completed Nth Mile!
Wow…I totally forgot about this shit. TGA seems cool but this shit is closer. Man…fuck. I bet it’s like 50 bucks to get in this shit now though…
Hmmm…decisions. Shit is like 35 bucks pre reg and I could probably find somebody to stay with. Just gotta get vacation n shit. Hmmm…
That’s interesting that this actually sunk under the topics on SRK. It’s not even on the tournament thread. Like seriously…who is coming out to this other than possibly J.Wong and gang? Renegade hasn’t even mentioned anything reminding people about it. This is strange.
