let’s say i have this data:
B 3
C 1
A 2
two columns, 3 rows
but i want to sort it so that i have this instead
A 2
B 3
C 1
i have a list of around 400 products and their corresponding prices, but they’re not sorted and it’s pretty useless this way. (can’t LOOKUP without sorting.)
try right clicking a cell (not column) and there should be a sort option
works for me with excel 2007, hope it works for you

sorry, i forgot to mention that i’m on Excel 2003. and there’s no right click sort option.
there’s a Sort icon on my toolbars though, but when i select both columns and use that sort, i get this:
C 1
A 2
B 3
which is not what i want.
…asdfasdfasdf.
so i tried it again and it did work. apparently, all i had to do was start highlighting from the column that i wanted to base the sort on (in this case, the topmost value on the left column). i’m an idiot. haha
