shit that cr.lp as AA. Gonna see how viable that is
With all the complaining about EX.Head Press EX.DR/ Skull Diver, particularly as Daigo struggled against it at Topanga I counted the times Tampa did EX.Head Press/EX.DR/Skull Diver against Diago at Final Round and how much damage it led to.
I also factor in the damage he got from the ensuing pressure if EX.DR or EX.Head Press were blocked or if he ended the round with an air to air EX.Head Press and could of combo-ed into Skull Diver. I also subtracted the damage he received from Diago’s counters.
I did not count non EX version of the move.
He did it 15 times in total, so that’s 15 bars of EX meter over 3 matches and a total of 9 rounds an average o 1.6 per round or 5 per match
This resulted in
2 occurrence of the move being blocked and leading to no additional damage other than the 15/38 chip damage.
1 occurrence of the move whiffing resulting in no damage for either player.
6 occurrences of it leading to more damage than just the standard block damage ranging from 49 to 366 damage.
6 occurrences of Daigo countering the move scoring damage ranging between 40 and 150.
The total net damage output was 707 in Tampa’s favor or 47.13333 damage per EX.Head Press/EX.DR,
Total gross damage was 1,169 Daigo’s total 9,000 health over the 9 rounds or 13% of his total health. Tampa lost 462 health out of his 9,000 health or 5.1% of this health.
A couple of notes
Its clearly obvious this time round that Diago has learnt from Topanga and was better equipped to deal with EX.Head Press/ EX.DR, he posted up video’s recently showing him in the lab learning how to deal with the move.
I do agree with the commentators, I think Bison has the advantage in this match up.
Personally I think EX.Head Press and EX.DR are good, strong moves but there is counters. You need experience to know how to deal with them.
If you look at the payout above it does tend to pale into comparison over the potential damage output of Urien’s EX.CT damage and EX.CT xx VT combo’s. Over the course of 9 rounds Urien is bound to land a few EX.CT’s and and a few EX.CT xxVT combo’s and he might get one or two EX.CT xx VT into reset into dizzy combo’s. I’m pretty sure if lands the latter combo and reset he would equal the total net damage Tampa got with 15 EX.HP/DR.
At this I’m being extremely generous in treating EX.Head Press, EX.DR and Skull Diver as the one move. If we were talking about just EX.DR the numbers would have been far lower in Tamp’s favour.
Tampa did just 8 EX.DR’s of which 4 were countered by Daigo, total gross damage was 693, while he took the 422 damage in return. Net damage in Tamp’s favor was 271. A whopping 34 damage per EX bar spent or 7.7% of Daigo life in return for 4.7% of Tampa’s.

Daigo will pay dearly for this
This first video is awesome!
Phenom the fucking traitor
Damn, match 1 lost because … jump ins.
And people still dispute the fact that AA is a problem with Bison.
Yeah, There’s a handful of characters that have awesome jumpin normals. Those are the characters that get away with jumpins because they will make a bison second guess if he should attempt an AA
I know Zangief is a problem for all of us, but here’s a few vids of me and Stupendous. Hopefully this helps someone. Any advice would be Awesome.

It’s always a bit laggy between me and Stu, but I think the matches were still pretty competitive.
@Thunda good matches.
You guys have any tip against Gief? I want to know wath are the to do and not to do in this match up, I know some stuff but knowing more whod help, sadly I don´t have any Giefs to play long sets with so I know wath I have played in random ranked/casual or from watching matches.
In my opinion, there are not many concrete rules to the match up. Gief can pretty much play like an asshole, he has counters to pretty much every option you have. The best thing you can do is slow down the match, study what they are doing and how they react to different situations and try to play off of that. If a geif is letting you get a way with something, then roll with it. I definitely try to avoid using regular Knee press. There is no way to make that move safe against Gief…Even still you kinda have to throw it out to see how they react to it being blocked. If they are the type to try and SPD, then you can take advantage of that. I think the optimal range you should play at should be at max st.hp range or a tiny bit further away. At that range you can poke geif’s dashes and whiffed buttons on reactions(good luck online lol) Always, ALWAYS, mix it up on Giefs wakeup. Mix up your buttons and timings, mix up jumping/backing off/meaty pressure. Mix up EVERYTHING. lol Zangeif can do whatever the heck he wants to in this match and it’s up to you see what your opponent is trying to do and minimize the guessing.
