Fat Bison is garbage.

Normal Ex.psycho blast is nerfed, it seems the old ex.Psycho blast is now only in v-trigger. It looks like they really want everything to feel weak in Bison normal mode to make him feel stronger in V-trigger. Instead of making his normal mode good but he becomes Boss level in V-trigger, they opt for making him feel weak in his normal mode and good in his v-trigger.

What nerfs?

Ex.Psycho blast hitbox a lot smaller compared to the old ex.Psycho blast, which now in V-trigger only. You will see the difference immediately if you paid attention to the match when he used the normal Ex.Psycho blast compared to V-trigger ex.Psycho blast. Both versions used to have the same hitbox but they differ in damage and speed ,v-trigger ex.Psycho blast was faster and deals more damage.

Seriously? Making him rely on V-Trigger to be worthwhile is idiotic for a character that lacks command throws, overheads, and vortex setups. At this point the opponent can just crouch guard and tech a few throws while they wait for the trigger duration to run out.

This is fucking stupid. If they’re gonna do that then his V-trigger shouldn’t drain when doing special moves and should be a set timer.
And with no reversals you’re really going to have to choose between using V-reversal and staying shitty Bison, or get pressured into oblivion lose all your life and try to bet everything on V-Trigger.

Psycho Power is getting less and less powerful.

Actually, VT EX Psycho Blast has a bigger hitbox since the very first Beta.

Yeah, I do remember the hitbox being considerably bigger on vtrigger since the beginning. Dunno if the non vtrigger hitbox is smaller or not though, if someone has some free time you can make a side by side comparison, but also dunno if it’s worth the trouble xD

We’re approaching the last beta phase now and the latest feedback could be critical.

From the latest impressions, what is Capcom doing with Bison’s specials?! Everything is out of wack in regular mode. 4 frame punishable Knee Press and 5 or 6 frame punishable Psycho Inferno on block. Was the Psycho Shot hurt box improved? Head Stomp is not difficult to avoid in general here and Devil’s Reverse is a hit or miss.

There’s no flavor or style with how people should be playing this character. I feel like the designers are pigeonholing players into not using his specials too much and waiting until Vtrigger to make something happen. His normals don’t feel bad at all but throwing out s.HK and df.HP is asking for it.

Wish list of things I’d like to see improve and added from the last beta until launch:

[] Because nobody’s gonna push buttons and get crushed or countered in the late game IMHO. Push back is so wide and easy to look at across the board. There’s no like no risk blocking Bison if he’s punishable like this.

[] I feel like they made these bad on block to force you to push more normals but the normals are mediocre across the board because there’s a lot of similarly designed attacks for everyone.

I’d like more range on cr.mp as there are quite a lot of situations where you get a jump in from the front and after stand mp, cr.mp completely whiffs -_-

Inferno is now -10 on block, what the actual fuck? Is this because it’s back to a motion move? Increase pushback at least. But -10 is still fucking ridiculous.

From the 16 character presentation, I noticed:
Bison and Necalli seem to have some sort of Boss Status.
Ryu’s S.HK combos into S.MP again. (+4 -> +5)
Bison’s Cr.MP > MK Scissors > VTrigger > Cr.MP is now possible. Before, only Scissors HK allow this.

I dig the alt outside the gold, but fortunately alt colours will give me something I prefer

The gold is the best part for me. The worst is the goatee and the collar. Oh and no cape.

I dont know Kriger, I’ve never seen Devil like this.
