You can hit it even when they are idle. And idle animations does not move hurtboxes in SF5. The later active frame on st.mp simply has longer range because he moves forward.

I know, but depending on where you hit them, different reeling hurtboxes show up. Only headhits work for this combo.
So low forward hit stun got nerfed? Well I guess the extra 10 dmg he’d get for comboing into mp inferno would surely make the entire universe collapse.

Already said you can do the TC combo even on a idle dummy if you space it right. If you hit them on the head, you have longer travel time before you land, so the opponent is pushed back further before your st.mp connects and gets spaced correctly.

Since there are no confirms into cr.MK that’s not the problem. Problem is it was a good tool to do cr.MK - EX Inferno to keep people’s toes on check. Liked doing some strings, walking up a tiny bit so they’d want to get out or press something and then cr MK - EX Inferno
So there are different pushbacks to torso/head hits?
What i ve seen happening is:
At the same range, torso hits make s.mp comnect at the first frame. It s not the tip by a large margin. Head hits make smp hit last frame and will whiff if you re inches away.
I still can’t figure out what I wanna do with cr.MK other than just randomly throwing it out to pinch a few ankles moving forward or just a cr.MK xx LK Scissor cancel for chip. It’s pretty useless unless I can get a tricky empty jump into something.
I wanna know why they decided to butcher this so much.

Figured out stuff.
It seems the headhit was simply a timing that allowed me to automatically hit Ryu at the proper spacing.
The good news is, I found a way to measure the perfect distance against Ryu now with another setup.
Hit him with S.HK and the distance is already perfect.
Hit in the head and press S.MP or hit in the torso, wait and press S.MP
Whoever wants to maximize their damage should be aware of this exact distance. Whenever the enemy is stunned, move to this range and let the combo go.
Also, anyone is welcome to figure out other ways to setup this range.

Well…If we can still confirm into light inferno…possibly swaggy DR crossup then cr.mk xx l. inferno. Catch them holding directions. Not much to get off of it tho.

Yeah after a weekend of playing I am concluding for now that cr.MK just sucks beyond clipping a few ankles here and there for scissor kicks. lol
anyone knows if there’s some kind of discord channel for SFV / bison players or w/e ?
None of us have coordinated one. I’ve seen it for other games though.
