M.Bison General Thread: Come here prepared to fight a madman, and instead you will find a GOD!

What economics? Was Bison economical when he did not use a Psycho Crusher attack? Is he economical in SF5 when his fierce and crouching fierce have a massive psycho wave that ignite like in SFA3? Or How about when both his back and front throws are psycho power infused like in the film? How’s that economical? He can even nullify projectiles and reflect them, but he doesn’t just reflect them, he infuses them with his power then fires them back - That’s a Psycho Shot for all intents and purposes.

His choice of super is also the Final Psycho Crusher (his ultimate move so far), which is a psycho crusher that is initiated from off screen (tick), covers a HUGE screen area (tick), No escape once it starts (Tick), and he teleports back to position when it is done (TICK!).

We won’t know his power levels truly until the context of the story, but gameplay wise this is the closest we got to a playable Final Bison. His gray hair doesn’t mean he is weaker either. Gen, Gouken, Goutetsu, Akuma, and Oro are all some of the oldest yet most powerful street fighters. If anything, one can argue that they all got better with age.

I’m saying what Cestus is saying, this isn’t Bison at his maximum potential (he needs Ryu for this or some new technology), but this is Bison at his experience and technical peak as a fighter and master of his art. I am also saying (guessing really) this Bison is the most powerful we have seen since Alpha 3 and is possibly near that power level. He was tearing open wormholes in SF4, who knows what he can do now.

I’m dying for Vesper…

A flamming Fierce is nothing new for him. Its never been a big deal for that i don’t see it a big usage for it to sacrifice the loss of psycho crusher or psycho cannon.

Rather than a psycho cannon/shot, psycho crusher or psycho field? its like his being resourceful for his lack of power.

This prove mine becoming more technical and economical fighter.

This prove mine again becoming more technical and economical fighter. have you ever experience a3 shin super move it has a DIFFERENT time stop or a different incredible speed? rather than his ordinary non-shin psycho crusher for different ISM that can be blocked its even different from Vs series and other sf games in term of TIME STOP OR SPEED.

you describe is another critical and technical. shin bison a3 psycho crusher PLUS it still CRUSHES the opponent even on blocking it unlike the new one.

I mean his body deteriorating in this rate it might be his sf4 body. he isn’t as great fighter in terms of physical as them. he is a different category. like gill, twelve, seth which have different categories. HIS POWER LEVEL is obviously down and coping up into his SKILLFULNESS.

So thats exactly what is MINE again This is not the powerful as his SFA3 Shin bison. This a skillful dictator coping up with his deficiencies on psycho power rather than the powerful version of his before that blast everywhere everyone because he needs to comply to what he lacks in battle.

A3 Shin-bison is POWERFUL than this one that is a SKILLFULL one

Yeah, no. I’m not buying your argument. We saw a variation of the Psycho Crusher, Psycho Shot and even a new Psycho Fieldish move in the trailer, I don’t know which trailer you are seeing. And what do you mean he isn’t as great a fighter in physical terms? I don’t think you know what you’re talking about.

as a trade off? seems foolish to me. Nah A3 is the True Shin bison in terms of POWERFUL version. you just won’t accept it. this new one is economical, resourceful and focus on skills dictator.

compare to akuma or oro. bison is different from them in terms of combat.

what are talking about. there is a different trailer? I guess no there is one that is dissected by the others and reupload.

Most of you guys are retarded. No one has a clue how this new Bison translate to the new fighting engine. To call him weak or strong based on this video is just plain retarded.

That’s really constructive of you. It’s called conjecture and people do it all the time, they analyze information, compare it with what we already know, then make predictions. We are also not discussing his strength in gameplay terms, rather his strength in canon terms.

That was just an opinion. that most people do.

Plus even the most famous and respected youtubers and game reviewer in FGC do that also.

This ain’t the way man, its only natural for us to do this

Canon or not. Not enough info. His new techniques could be better ot worst than old ones. I guess I woke up cranky and all these post don’t add anything. Just like mine.

peace up guys. I’ll just wait for the game. overall good job on dictator in capcom part a fresh and brilliant version.

‘Not enough info’ is irrelevant, we’re working with what we have and we’re having the discussion either way. If you don’t want to participate don’t. But there’s no reason to rain on others parade honestly.

Back on topic: a few notes from the trailer:

[list]
[*] The first combo Bison does in the trailer, at approximately 39 seconds we see a new uppercut-ish attack. Is it a new command normal, fancy crouching fierce, or an actual special? The reason I ask is because if it is a special it would be too similar to the other new special (Psycho Fist).

[*] We saw 2 throws (back at 40 seconds and front at 48 seconds), but no Death Tower (kick throw). Could Death Tower have been replaced or is the second throw we see a special command grab like in Omega mode? Better yet, are we getting 4 throws? 2 Punch throws and 2 Kick throws, 1 for back and 1 for front.

[*] The Return Psycho Shot looks like it knocks down Charlie and it wasn’t an ex move. Although they cut at the very last second.

[*] The slide knocks up, juggles then Bison combos it into his new Psycho Fist/Field special (45 seconds). Bison uses both hands in the Ex version of this move (51 seconds). I think this move is B, F+P and Bison was charging during the slide.

[*] The double teleport at 47ish seconds. Is it actually 2 teleports with very low recovery or teleports that can be canceled into one another. Or is it one single teleport but Bison appears in 2 locations in quick succession to confuse the opponent about his final location. We saw something similar to this in the MvC series and SF2 Animated Movie.

[*] Does head stomp work OTG always or only after certain moves like Ex Psycho Fist that put opponents in an OTGable state?

[*] At 54ish seconds, when Bison activates V-trigger he does Jumping fierce into Ex Psycho Fist then quickly does an Ex Head Stomp (which hits twice, once in juggle and once OTG). How did he have enough charge to do them both like that in quick succession? Is this a V-trigger property that reduces charge time? Also note that Bison teleports back to his original location after the second Ex Head Stomp.

[*] The activation attack of his ultra (where he levitates and creates a sphere of energy around him), could have some amazing AA and 360 defensive degree properties.

[*] His legs under the trench coat are very dark through out the trailer, too dark that you can barely make out that his armor is there. This could be a stage lighting issue but I hope it isn’t this dark in the final version.

[*]Again sadly, there was no sign of Devil’s Reverse or Somersault Skulldiver. The Psycho Crusher being MIA is understandable because there is a precedence for this in Alpha but I hope DR and Skulldiver make an appearance in future gameplay footage.

I find it interesting how it shows Ryu and Chun Li, and Bison’s voiceover says “WEAK!” Then Charlie shows up, and Bison beats his @$$.

Maybe he’s lost interest in Ryu’s body and Chun’s drama, and he’s more interested in whatever power Charlie is now using to stay alive…

It’s probably just for the trailer.

In all fairness, Vega says “Weak!” for Ryu and Chun-Li then “Overly weak!” for Nash, so…

That audio BTW is recycled from the last lines of his psycho punisher ultra, and his intro pose from Seth’s playable intro pose.

I didn’t catch the recycled voices… Then again, he does say ‘weak’ in almost every game… Someone somewhere will probably say Capcom are lazy…

Anyway for some reason, Forbes magazine has a news piece up about Bison’s reveal…

Boss!

Ummm, you know making a 360 gets you back to where you started, righT?

Yea…it’s a figure of speech…

I think you wanted to say “180” then… :s
