I’m still not on board with this whole MM Starforce stuff. Even if Niitsuma wanted a character from the series in, every other MM has a much better character for nostalgia/hype/character votes purposes over this newer version.

I don’t think the most recent music video is any hint. Look at his tweets before this. He likes to recite lyrics and post music videos. Man’s a music lover, that’s all.

I wouldn’t count X out just yet. While it looks most certain that Geo will be in the game…well, I actually don’t have anything encouraging to say, I’m afraid. I think we have good reason to believe X will not be in this game beyond Lupinko.
In Seth Killian’s recent interview, he was asked which Capcom characters are the highest in demand for MvC3. Seth’s response was “Strider Hiryu and Phoenix Wright”. However, as any Megaman fan knows, Megaman X is on par with Strider in demand, and much higher than Phoenix Wright. Lupinko said that someone “involved with the game” recently gave us some big hints, but we overlooked them because it seemed so casual.
My personal take on this is that X will not be in the game, and that is why Seth Killian chose to mention two characters fans want that they will be putting in the game.
But hey, until Lupinko comes out and says “X will not be in the game”, why not hold on to a shred of hope?

I would be very much all in favor of the Guardian, Alpha Flight is fucking legit. I mean, I’d prefer Captain Britain, but I was never expecting to see either of them in-game.
Hopefully this means the currently running Alpha Flight mini-series will get turned into an ongoing!
I wouldn’t really pay attention to the MvC3 Twitter, either. I doubt they really know anything, it’s just a PR thing.
Why would you think that? Because Luke Cage is black? Jesus Christ, people, he may be a walking stereotype but he’s no pimp.
Not to mention he literally has no powers other than super strength and invulnerability. They could make a moveset for him, yeah, but he doesn’t really have anything to set him apart from anyone else. And he isn’t popular like Phoenix Wright.
Thanks Karst, I hear you loud and clear. I understand things are bleak for X and what you say about Seth Killians response makes total sense, foreshadowing the future. But like you said, he hasn’t been left out JUST yet, so I will hold onto that small ray of hope.
Think about it. What if they didn’t add any megaman in smvc3 yet, and they are saving megaman for third iteration. I know it is way far to think about it but many people want yun and yang in SSF4; and they added them in SSF4:AE to make more money.
Capcom can be so evil sometime.
I’m not a big fan of the Starforce series, even though its just like the Battle Network series. It just doesn’t do it for me; hopefully we get X or classic
