As for Marvel… Now that I’ve seen some suggestions and have had thoughts reawakened. I want Squirrel Girl!!! Dust sounds pretty awesome as well, not to mention her just being in an ending with a shitload of playable characters, in the front, clear as day. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to have another hot mama with a bit of brown in her either.

i really hope the Phoenix Wright tweets is a stage and not the character. The PW supporters are annoying, especially on gamefaqs… who use arguments that phoenix wright is better than strider because striders games are old.

HELLO KIDS, strider is more popular and known the PW. MVC was a 12 year fighting game success, and strider was the most popular character in that game.

I see it simply as this: if Capcom can make a moveset for an anime nerd, they can make a moveset for a Lawyer.

Phoenix could carry a briefcase with him, use that as his normals and launcher. Throw random evidence as projectiles (a la Hsien Ko), have epic, wall bouncing HOLD ITs and TAKE THAT shouts, use the chains of the Magatama to bind up his opponents… I’ve made up a mock movelist or two for this guy, and if an average Canadian schmuck with a chip on his shoulder and a song in his heart like me can do it, a big video game company like Capcom can do it it.

At least, I severally hope so.

I said it earlier, but I like the idea of using a gavel like Haggar’s pipe, and it just side-smacks their face and scores a wallbounce XD. If anything, it would be hilarious. Even if not practical.

Capcom/Eighting has enough creative juice to make Phoenix Wright possible. The question is:

1. Can they make him fun and competitive?
2. While staying true to the character’s personality?

And don’t get weird ideas about “roster replacement”, if Strider makes it in and not PW, people should not go around hollering about stolen roster spots. In the same way any new Capcom characters we get are not “stolen spots” from Strider, but rather a reflection from the developers that they don’t want him in the game for whatever reason.

y’know, if capcom REALLY wanted to piss people off, they’d put in Godot instead of Cyclops and give him a laserbeam super exactly like BEHOLD!.

I’ve always thought the idea of Wright in a game like this would be interesting to see, but in no way do I think he deserves to be in over any other character. If Wesker, Dante or Arthur (personality/moveset wise) are anything to go by, Capcom is really good at capturing their characters perfectly in MvC3. I don’t see why Phoenix would be any exception.

Honestly, I only brought up the subject of how “Phoenix would work” because I’m kinda tired of hearing the generic “uhhh but how could he fite hes a lawyer” comment. I mean, c’mon. Use your imagination, bub. You could honestly make a moveset up for anyone. In my spare time I’ve made up movelists for TV show characters like Malcom Reynolds, Sylar and John “J.D” Dorian.
