Anyone who wants Thanos to keep his bubbles isn’t a Thanos fan but a Capcom fan. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Thanos is no bubble blowing baby buttercup. He’s a bad ass death bringing mother fucker who deserves shit as hard as him, and bubbles ain’t hard.
Also the Jello reference could be preceived as Thanos sure, but given that he spoke of Magic and listed two very specific colors instead of a variety of colors, I’m much more inclined to believe he was hinting at Dr. Strange and Mandarin, one blue one green, both known for the magic users. Mandarin is rumoured to be in an upcoming movie, as well as being the focus of the recent Iron Man Cartoon. Dr. Strange meanwhile has 2 characters in the current roster. While yes, Shuma got in because of VS series history, Dorm has little other reason to be in the game, and there was never any word of Marvel denying his use in this game. I would also like to remind people that a Dr. Strange movie is currently in pre-production. I have no doubts that Thanos is in, but I don’t think Lup has yet to hint at him.

Fair enough, his outfit isn’t bad. I just hate how he physically looks. He’s like… All westernized and tough. Like he should be in Gears of War as effeminate bullet fodder or something.
That moveset of Thanos truly sucked. That’s why I always ask for an overhauled Thanos.
About the magicians, the candidates could be Strange or most of the Thor rogues who work with magic meaning Loki, Hela and Enchantress. All of them rock the green as well.
As far as magic go, it must be Dr. Strange, nobody else is close to being on par namewise as a magic user besides scarlet witch. Scarlet Witch would be OP though.

Give me Black Panther with Flight mode, air dash, and all his weapons. Seriously Black Panther is awesome
…along with being arguably the biggest threat in the Marvel universe.
EDIT: The bubbles are out of character with Thanos, but I still want to see them return basically because it is his signature attack in the Vs. games. The rest of his moveset can get overhauled/improved/whatever but the bubbles have to stay.
Guessing the wtf charecter is going to be difficult because so many different things can bring out that expression, and what exactly qualifies for that is still unknown. We don’t even know what side he’s on. To a comic fan, they’d see Squirrel Girl and go, oh hey cool. To someone whose knowledge of Marvel doesn’t go beyond Saturday cartoons and movies however, she’s not a very well known character. To a lot of us here, we’d love to see Howard the Duck, The Smiths, or Poison make the roster, but to a lot of others they’d scratch their head over their inclusion.
But, maybe it’s not the randomness, maybe it’s that the guy can’t picture him in a fighting game despite being a well known charecter. Charles Xavier would be a great example, and one that was tossed around here while we waited for the mind meltingly broken character.
Maybe it’s a character who by sheer inclusion seems so powerful and gamebreaking that he can’t imagine him. Apocalypse is of course the first to come to mind.
Or of course it’s someone so minor that you’d wonder why they’d ever become a character, like a shop owner in Monster Hunter.
There’s just too much that could be causing for us to reliably guess, it may not even surprise us.
