What? How do people randomly die?
Galactus destroys the stage midmatch
I miss Dark Phoenix… It’s so boring without her…
B&B from tip tier in any respectable game is at least 40-60% of your lifebar. These cries arent exclusive to Marvel, but for some reason you only hear the complaints about this game.
You got 3 characters you have to fuck up at least 3 times to lose all 3. I dont see what the big deal is.
Real talk, though…
UMvC3 is not “Mahvel” to me. I disliked Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (yeah, because it wasn’t a c/p of Mahvel 2), but I still played it, because it still had dat Mahvel-ish flavor in it.
Ultimate? Man, they fuckin’ SF’d up my Marvel vs. Capcom. He’s complaining about niggas dying too quick? Fuck that, niggas aren’t dying at all. [Decreased Meter Building] and [Increased Hit Stun Deterioration] made this game boring to watch AND play in my annoyed opinion.
Buff Meter; Buff Chun; Nerf Hit Stun; Buff Wesker; Buff X-Factor; Nerf Jill
Thanks.
I see what you’re getting at, but it doesn’t really add up that way to me…
The “touch of death” is still too frequent for me… I guess the game just isn’t for me… Not feeling it.
You do remember the DHC Glitch? Thor died in LMHS MMHS DHC Glitch LMHS MMHS. The only difference is that in this game, spending meter will legitimately get you a kill on average health characters. I love it. It does add more suspense, especially when I’m playing with my super low health team.
There is damage settings in the game.
I feel that execution or flashyness isn’t very rewarded since peps die so quickly with easy combos and x-factor popping.
If x-factor didn’t exist it wouldn’t be so apparent. But the fact remains that if a char doesn’t do 800k plus in a combo it’s not gonna get used in the long run.
I really dislike x-factor, it still too strong.
It is hard to say either way. I really like the intensity of having high stakes, get hit and you are taking some damage kind of play. I think it works a lot better in MVC3 because you have three characters though. I see it being difficult to increase the health(or decrease damage) when you have three characters to tear through. When you think of the characters health as a cumulative value the damage output is fine.
what dhc glitch would that be?
Honest question: Is this really a higher damage game than vanilla was???
Here are the global and general changes I can think of off the top of my head that I feel are relevant to this discussion.
- certain moves mashable for extra damage
- the DHC glitch has been removed
- XF damage boost toned down
- super meter builds more slowly
- the rate at which hitstun deteriorates during combos has been increased
Am I missing some other critical piece to the puzzle, or have many individual characters had their damage output significantly increased?
I don’t like that kind of stress, at least not in a game like Marvel. If we were talking about TTT or KOF or SFxTK or any other fighter, I’d be fine with some touch of death elements because the game resets itself (save for health and meter in KOF, meter in SF) when a team member dies.
I guess another thing I’ve come to dislike about MvC3 and UMvC3 is that combos are just too long for my tastes. When I make that one mistake, the length of these combos just feels like insult to injury. Oh well, I gave MvC3 a shot, and I think I’ll just spectate with UMvC3.
I think that those 2 combined are the issue, it’s easier to do big ass damage with some characters and they don’t take that much work nor have many flaws as of now.
On the other hand, some characters that relied on big combos for damage get the short end of the stick or just look less flashy.
The skill comes from not getting hit and hitting the opponent. Combos are not skill, it’s the strategy and fundamentals that count.
Btw never play Super Turbo kthx
You can still do long combos… you just have to get more creative.
huh? if one person is using fist and the other a gun? howdoyou get that mixed up? with the high damage the the game is VERY random. anyone can get a hit in especially with all of the fireworks going on. do you see how messy the game gets when characters get next to each other doing moves?
You kidding right…
Let’s make a game where you have one Punch and one Kick button, everyone has the same combo, the same damage, the same stuff. Let’s make it slow, no Hyper bars, a lot of HP so you can survive a lot of combos and don’t die…
You like this game?
= RANDOM outcome
I play guilty gear + blazblue so I don’t know what you’re talking about.
