they sure did i only play endless with frienda. so today i went to try rank. 4 out of the 5 games i was getting put into a lobby with people that hD OVER 700bp one guy hD 1289bp i was getting my ass handing to me,and i hVE Zero bp how the hell does that work. iam never doing rank again
I’ve had this same problem multiple times on PSN. Just now I won a match and lost 300 bp -.-
I play on 360 and this hasn’t happened to me. I also don’t play ranked without my tag partner either. It could be a variable idk. Anyone else remember that whole thing with Juri when AE came out? If you played ranked with her on AE, then if you played as her on super (I don’t remember what modes it could happen on) it would reset your BP for Juri on both versions back to 0.
It happened to me once I thought I was alone until i read this i wonder what is causing this.
I won a match about a minute ago and lost all my bp… this is on psn
Man, this is so annoying…
Lost BP caused someone disconnect. How was that possible? this happening on PSN
Just a theory but maybe if your connection was the worst between you and your opponent and the game canceled because of your connection it could be possible that the game mistook it as a game you left early, henceforth subtracting battle points? Unless you’re absolutely sure that your opponent straight up shut off the game.
Rank on all Capcom games makes a ‘best effort’ attempt at your filter.
So basically it tries to find someone as close to your rank as possible, sometimes this might be on your rank, sometimes this might be 4000 bp. Same skill or more skill just nudges the matchmaking in the right direction.
Well, the match didn’t even start and the lobby did not appears. Went back to the screen to locate another match, I didn’t get dropped or I would have lost PSN access and have to reconnect. I was able to find the next match without any problem but notice I lost about 300 BP.
DLC content coming soon to keep yo points safe!
I’ve had this too, I was dropped from a game (network issue) and lost 100BP. I put it down to the game thinking I disconnected.
But last night I won a game at 166BP, but after the match, was still at 166BP. Then later on after a bit of a bad run, it just took them all off me.
PS3 user BTW.
Yeah this has happend to me, im winning the match entirely, they leave i lose battle points. i was so close to finnally get C-Rank(i have more school time than me time) and this just really gets me annoyed, i already put a thread on ask capcom if someone could answer this.
The other day I won a match and noticed my BP went down by a 100 or so, I backed out to the main menu and noticed my BP went back up to what it should be. WTF.
I’m also a ps3 user and this also happened to me twice. Once for no reason after I won a game, I lost 200 bps and once after winning a game, the guy that lost ragequits and I lose 150 bps. I would have understood if it was me ragequitting, but, really? I lose bps because the guy who just lost ragequits? What the heck.
I play on Xbox 360 and I lose BP randomly also, I notice it happen when I have just turned on the game.
I have 605 BP on the main menu and when I go into the Xbox LIVE menu I suddenly have 585…weird.
I havent had this problem on PS3 … My only problem is getting mis matches with players that have significanly higher BP when i pick same skill and getting raped for my BP. Lol
happening 2 me 2
and im a ps3 player :/
Its something I found on my end.
While checking my PS3 connection status, though It was saying succeeded it had an ‘error 80029020’ at the end.
This is when I have my PS3 connected to my PC, w/c acts as a router, via a second LAN connection to the internet.
When tried connecting directly to the modem It seems to have fixed the problem of losing BP randomly as well as not getting the ‘80029020’ error. So in my case it might just be some firewall / network settings on my PC that’s causing the problem.
If you are losing BP and your console’s connection is like this::
[modem] – [pc / router] – [console] :: try a direct modem connection :: [modem] – [console]
if you are still losing BP even w/ a direct modem connection then you will need to check your modem settings and the Internet connection status on your console for any errors like ‘80029020’.
FYI, the error ‘80029020’ means ‘‘This is a network error relating to an inability to obtain and/or maintain a functional IP address’’ via http://community.us.playstation.com/thread/2267867?start=0&tstart=0
No BP loss for me I have always been plugged directly into the Modem.
