Is the netcode okay?
That’s my only hesitation in getting it.
I don’t mind the odd shit connection, but I’m under the impression it’s worse than that.

No sorry, Samsho online is ass tbh and finding people to play online is not the greatest either, its the one thing that stops me playing the game more often. Japanese devs really need to stop using delay netcode for fighters, I give Capcom credit that at least they try rollback even if its not been implented properly and the funny part is that its still better than all the delay based fighters by far when it works, also crossplay is a plus.

Rather fight someone with 5f of delay, than 5 days of teleports.

Not for me, out of 10 games 7 of them are playable to great, this is on the PC version though, PS4 version feels worse but its still way better than any delay based game imo.

Never had a problem with online, whether it was getting matches or getting a decent connection. Maybe I’m just looking through rose colored glasses.

I disagree, SFVs Netcode is problematic on many layers.
First of all Crossplay doesn’t function like it should be.
Because the PS4 isn’t able to keep steady 60fps and has drops on a good chunk of stages, the PS4 player will cause desyncs. That shouldn’t be a thing, but since it’s Capcom it is and it hasn’t been fixed since, 2 years now? If I remember it was discoverd 2 years ago.
So best advice is to keep PC vs PC, or pick Training Stage (the Stage that also doesn’t run at 60fps on PS4) and hope for the best.
Next the Rollback shoves all the Rollback on one end, what shouldn’t be a thing either. It just means that Franco has a perfect running game and Eddy just sees teleports 24/7.
Thats there since the Beta and they never even botherd to do something against it.
Adding to this Servers that are wack in the best case and a MM that thinks someone from Japan has a 5 bar connection with me in central europe. Thats a nice recipe for a lot of Chaos.
Lastly the Netcode is even for Rollback standards garbage, properly build delay would work around too.
And sadly only ASW ever put so much effort into it that it works, well whatever DBFZ tries with it, thats worse than GGs.

Because I was supposed to end up known as the woman that plays Gief, but somewhere in the middle of the road, something went really, REALLY wrong.
Now I am known as one of the best Falke players in the country (easy feat, with like, 5 Falke players out there) and people don’t even know I play Gief!

I feel like Honda has reinvigorated my SF5 time. I can get drunk as fuck and play him like old times. Doesn’t even matter.
It’s like that little salt box he has actually reverses the salt. Maybe I just needed to go full spastic and stop thinking this game was skilfull.

Keep telling peeps to stop thinking so hard when playing SFV. 
I go into this game with same mindset I had playing MvC3 Wolverine or nova. I’m just gonna do shit and they gonna have to hold it. I’ll make adjustments if they can deal with it.
