I was hoping there would be more time between the release of 2012 and SCR.
It comes out earlier for the arcade but I think it’s being updated over NESYS so I don’t know how we’re supposed to get the update in the states.
Well… How do you get PPs if not by playing in ranked matches?
@Mingo:
I actually kinda like playing in ranked. I don’t care about my BP/PPs but as far as I’ve seen, they are usually really representative of a player at a certain level. When you see somebody with 7000+ BP, you can be sure he’s pretty good with his character. Any player over 2500/3000 PP will usually be good.
But of course there is something we can’t expect: if the guy is ridiculously good but doesn’t play in ranked matches that much. Anyway, ranked gives me the chance to play every kind of player, from shoryuken masher to shoryuken master, and I like the “just one match” form which forces me to get used to the opponent very fast.
Man… Tell me one thing in the world you don’t do in an awesome way. Good luck for your Iron man!
So I just played Juicebox’s Cody (lol?) on PC, or at least I think I did. Apparently I don’t know the Cody matchup at all. Will be posting vids asking for help later.
Archery (bad eye-sight).
Anything other than Asian languages (edit: and English).
Talking to tomboys.
Grammar apparently (had to edit my previous post just now).
Singing, dancing.
Fighting MingoDynasty.
- Thank you =)
I use game genie.
I actually thought Cody was pretty frusturating for some reason as Ibuki but I did fine against Momochi, lol(?)
I think it was just me not knowing what Cody pressure looked like. My crouch tech kept getting raped by that damn fierce frame trap. HP is apparently Cody’s best button.
Actually I just started messing around with Cody and his grab range sucks so you should hardly be crouch teching and his frame traps are pretty obvious so I don’t know why you’re getting hit with ch setups. I personally think Cody is one of Ibuki’s easiest match ups
Bye guys.
Don’t miss me; it’s time to smell like bonfire.

You’ll be posting again in like an hour.
thanks man.
I didn’t get the chance to watch seasons beatings due to midterms. Has there been an archive put up yet? I have find one. Were there any notable Ibukis there?
Edit:
also I was surprised to see Ibuki listed so low on the newest Aracadia tier listing. They put her as C tier. I was figured she was B at least. I would like to hear there reasons.
Hey does anyone know where I can find a good amount of Iyo ibuki matches? I’ve seen a few, but I can never find any sets from tournaments or concept matches against other top players.
He doesn’t play on live anymore and doesn’t let people record his matches while at the arcades. The only matches you’re going to find of him are old XBL matches from Super and a couple matches around SBO time.
Why do you want specific matches of Iyo? Pretty sure it was established around that time that he’s a fraud and just plays the most out of all other Ibuki players. Just look up Sako matches if you want solid gameplay.
I see…what was the matter on fraudulence? I didn’t hear about anything in particular. Was it because of his results at SBO or something?
Really I just wanted to watch some generally optimized ibuki gameplay, I’ll take your advice on Sako, but from the few matches I have seen with Iyo, he doesn’t seem so pathetic. --Any details on the fraud part would help me understand a bit…
Haha, I’m exaggerating to an extent. I think people were just expecting more out of him for some reason since he was the #1 Ibuki and his matches were always kept in secrecy.
If you’re looking for optimized Ibuki game play, then you really need to look up Sako’s Ibuki. Just look at the onslaught he did last year when he was year for that Cali tournament. Always goes for max damage, solid option selects, and goes for unnecessary style that sometimes gets him killed. Easily the best Ibuki there is.
k, thanks a lot for the advice.
Playing Juicebox again, this time his Juri. Yet another character I dunno the matchup to. Well at least I got one game.
his juri at evo was balls
So I just played Juicebox (almost 100% sure it was him) again in a ft50 on PC. He used Juri, Cody, Guy, DeeJay, Makoto, Claw, Hakan, Adon, Abel. 16-50 at the end; I think I did okay. Strangely I did slightly better with my Ryu. I think it’s because of Ryu’s useful cr.MK compared to Ibuki’s crap normals.
Was too nervous in the beginning matches and dropped like every combo and couldn’t even react in time to do basic antiairs. Then I guess I just didn’t give a shit and started tsumuji looping everything, especially his Claw/Abel. Then my execution went to shit again.
Looks like I really really need to learn to how to block. Niko how do you expect me to block all this shit which looks almost like infinite pressure?
Will be posting matches… eventually.
Lol just walk back and block until you find your opening or…
…
…
just mash dp
But Juicebox won’t let me mash dp all day. He usually punishes with like ultra
