What bugs me is that I never miss SJC U1, but since the release of AE I’ve only done an empty one about 2 times.
I just came back from my tournament. Lots of competition; like 60+ people in it. It was a great experience when I finished it. Although I didn’t place top 8 in SSF4, I got 1st place with my friends in teams (although it was one of my friends who did awesome with his godlike fei-long). I know it’s kinda random, but I just wanted to share that people were actually impressed or even feared teh Ibuki I was using, it was pretty awesome. Though it looks like I still require a bit of more training again to be really good again. Just wanted to thank the community for helping out alot, you guys are awesome.

That’s easier cause of how slow you can input it. Raw U1 is usually done in a clutch situation and it does feel a lot harder now. I had a pretty hard time with that stupid motion in Super cause I never used it lmao. At least I can OS Yang with it np, but I guess that input is kinda slow anyways.
No haha, even as a punish after a Focus or Stun, Ultra 1 refuses to come out. I’ve taken to use U2 instead now =(
You usually have way more time to compose yourself after a focus or knowin they’re going to be stunned for a set amount of time.
Troubles with U1 too. Any chance they’ll fix it in a patch? It was best use as a reversal timed punish, and it feels almost impossible to use it as such anymore. Maybe I just have poor execution.

I also had troubles with Ultra 1 in the team tournament at ECT this weekend…tried to punish vega rolling crystal flash and got ex raida.
I ended up losing a match against an Adon after I ex raida’d a blocked jag tooth. :insert sad emoticon here:
Is that what that is? I did notice that U1 was harder to do now. I almost reversed OCV’d a team twice at my last tourney, but I messed up my U1 input against a safe jump and got EX raida instead. =/

I think I’ve given up at trying to be the best at this game. It’s bad enough there isn’t much local scene around here. But now it’s either join the ranks of Fei/Yun/Yang to be able to compete, or play who you wanna play and probably lose.
Ibuki is fun in AE. Thinking about switching her to an alt. On the recent cross counter episode Mike Ross said that Ibuki is one of the least skilled characters in the game lol.
What’s that supposed to mean? Is she low tier or hard to play or something?
LOL mike is salty. he always told me he thought ibuki was super good, ill believe him when i see him switch to ibuki. other than that he needs to get out of here with that noise, ibuki IS NOT easy to win with. i can do damn near as well with an almost never played ken,chun, ryu as i can with ibuki.
but yeah, she is pretty cheap in the right hands/against certain characters… but that goes for most of the characters in the game.
everyone that has complained about my ibuki and yet tried her… quit, and were like “fuck that shit”.
certain players just make her look really good.

Lol at ibuki beeing super good plus one of the least skilled characters.Isn’t he playing honda?I mean, yeah, you can autopilot with her,but not as good as with viper cammy, yun and others.If you’re trying to play ibuki using her more damaging combos ,loops,etc she’s definetely in the top 5 of the hardest chars in ssf4,but If you’re playing her with tc4 and vortex loops then probably she doesn’t require skill.I would say Hold dat Mike!
